Greetings, Umuahians!

To mark the start of events for the year 2026, GCUOBA'06 held its first meeting on February 22, 2026, and it was graced with a massive turnout.

It was a moment for members to reconnect for the first time in 2026, discuss and share ideas on how to make the year a productive one, achieve the association's goals, and grow stronger together as one united body.

We thank God for a successful first GCUOBA'06 meeting of the year. The date for subsequent meetings will be communicated to members in due course.

The final item on our bucket list was fulfilled yesterday, Sunday, December 28, 2025, when GCUOBA'06 gathered for a Thanksgiving service to express our profound gratitude to God. We thanked Him for preserving our lives through the years, bringing us home safely from far and near for the reunion, blessing us with a successful celebration, and keeping our association united as one body.

The Thanksgiving service was held at St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Afara, Umuahia, Abia State, where members of GCUOBA'06 joyfully worshipped together.

The 2025 GCUOBA Class of 2006 Reunion, the first of its kind, was a grand, successful, and truly remarkable event—a day to remember.

It was a day to rekindle the love we've shared for thirteen years and counting, and to strengthen the bond that has united us over the years. The event was filled with fun, laughter, and unforgettable moments that will remain in our hearts.

We pray for many more reunions in sound health and wellness.

The long-awaited day is here!

The Class of 2006 Reunion is here and upon us.
After much anticipation and preparation, the day is finally here!

After 13 years of graduating from Government College Umuahia, today is the day where men who used to be boys gather to reunite, reminisce about the good old days, talk about the present, laugh, share in each other's joy, and most importantly, discuss ways to give back to Government College Umuahia and GCUOBA'06.

First off our bucket list today was a Football Novelty Match between the Boarders and Day Students.

Today, December 20, 2025, the GCUOBA'06 family is celebrating Assistant Class Captain, Mr. Samuel Charles Chidozie, as he ties the knot with his beautiful wife.

Members of GCUOBA'06 showed up in their full glory, rocking their gorgeous GCUOBA caps, to witness this remarkable day and share in their joy.

GCUOBA'06 wishes the newlywed a blissful and peaceful married life filled with love and happiness.

The Government College Umuahia Old Boys Association Homecoming and Annual General Meeting is a season for Old Boys, near and far, to reconvene on familiar ground – a ground where kings are made. A ground where boys are moulded and shaped into great men of repute. A ground that has positively impacted and influenced many lives. Great men reconvene to reminisce about the good old days, reconnect, and discuss ways to put the college back on track, making it stand out.

This year's Homecoming and Annual General Meeting was hosted by the Class of 1975. As usual, the Class of 2006 was present and represented well, upholding the Umuahian culture.
