What mag!c will Abaribe perform, since both are from Obingwa!

2027 : Who among these
Eight Frontline Aspirants will Retire Rep.Munachim Alozie to Ugwunagbo?

Eziahakaego Ibe Nwoke Akpulonu Solomon Chidiebere Nnamdi Charles Chibuzor N Nwosu Udo Alozie Prince Advancer Nwabuisi Obia

By Abia Gazette

Of all the six Labour Party House of Representatives members,Rep Munachim Alozie (Obingwa Osisioma Ugwunagbo Federal constituency) appears to have been humbled out of the race to the Green Chamber. Not because he's tired or incapable of funding his re-election.
Hon.Alozie has been roundly rejected by his constituents as well as colleagues and critical power mongers and stakeholders.

So,it's now more of
easy walk for battle ready-political aspirants from the three blocs determined to 'oust' the former member who represented Ugwunagbo State Constituency at the Abia State House Assembly before he took over from Hon.Solomon Adaelu at the lower Legislative Chambers.

Let's review some of the aspirants seeking their party nomination for the 2027 Reps' race.

Hon Micheal Ibe Nwoke

Hon.Micheal Ibe Nwoke is former Executive Chairman of Obingwa Local Government and 2023 YPP House of Reps candidate for Obingwa/ Osisioma / Ugwunagbo Federal Constituency.
Abu Dhabi as he's fondly called, defected to Labour Party, months back, from where he now wants the party's ticket for the office. And everything is working for him in this respect.

Rt.Hon.Solomon Akpulonu.

On his 5th term in the Abia State House of Assembly, the member representing Obingwa East State Constituency and former Majority Leader has earlier informed associates and constituents he won't be returning to the 9th Abia House of Assembly.
After due consultation, Hon. Akpulonu has declared interest in the Old Obioma Ngwa Federal Constituency seat. He's running under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Chidiebere, Nnamdi Charles (Nwa Jato).

About the youngest aspirant in the race,
Hon. Chidiebere was actually APC House of Reps Candidate in 2023. The Mgboko Itungwa, Ward 4, Obingwa politician is contesting again. This time, with more energy, followersip and war chest.
Nwa Jato is not joking at all. Not at all.

Engr. Prince Nwabuisi Obia.

Prince Obia ran for Obingwa East State Constituency in the 2023 election. Back to the system, he's now aspiring to represent his people at the National Assembly.
A hospitality and real estate mogul, Prince Obia is one of the frontline aspirants that wants Hon.Munachi Alozie out, on account of his non- performance.

Pastor Chibuzor Nwosu

Former Labour Party Chieftain and son of late APC National Welfare Secretary (Sir F.N Nwosu)
Pastor Chibuzor Nwosu has equally declared intention to go to the House of Representatives in 2027. Hon.Nwosu disclosed this shortly after resigning from
Labour Party and defecting to National Democratic Convention (NDC). The business mogul (who's into commercial farming and hospitality) actually declared at the party's May 6, 2026 Abuja National Convention.
The one-time Obingwa Local Government Chairmanship aspirant has since started reaching out to his supporters and allies to actualize his political ambition.

Hon Udo Christoper Alozie

Hon. Prince Udo Christopher Alozie is a successful entrepreneur. The MD/Chairman of the popular Hotel de Laurel, Aba, Prince is the scion of the noble late HRM Eze S.O Alozie (Erieagwughiagwu) of Okpu /Umuobo in Osisioma Local Government of Abia State. Also of the APC family, dude's in the race to win.

Barr. Kelechi Ozioma Onyeobia.

Though relatively unknown in Abia political circles, the young lawyer has announced himself by frontally challenging the incumbent Rep who happens to hail from the same Ugwunagbo LG/ political bloc . Barr. Onyeobia is running under Labour Party platform. He's the founder of Onyeobia-Otti Movement a pro group making wave in the state.

Rt. Hon. Bishop Kennedy Njoku.

Former Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly
Rt.Hon.Bishop Kenedy Njoku is one of the frontline APC aspirants for Obingwa/ Osisioma Ugwunagbo Federal constituency. From Osisioma Ngwa bloc, Rt.Hon.Njoku (who was elected Abia Speaker in 2016) has vowed to ease out Hon.Alozie from the Green Chamber.
So far, he's reached out to part leaders and potential delegates for the Saturday (May 16) APC House of Reps primary election. Assured he will fly the ruling party's ticket.

A very funny drama played out in Rivers State House of Assembly during the screening of the nine commissioners that were appointed by Governor Fubara. One of them, a woman, had not filed her tax clearance since 2018. And when she was asked why, this is how the conversation went.

Speaker: Madam, you’ve not been paying tax since 2018? I just wanted to know if you’ve been exempted from paying tax.

Woman: Like I said before, I’m a politician.

Speaker: You are what?

Woman: I am a politician.

Speaker: So politicians don’t pay tax?

Woman: We don’t have an office.

Speaker: Hold on, hold on, hold on. Let me get you. You say you’re a politician. So politicians don’t pay tax?

Woman: I don’t have work.

Speaker: So since you don’t have work, you have not been paying tax or taxes since 2018 to date. That’s what you are saying. Is it only when you have work that you get income? You don’t have any business?

Woman: Mr. Speaker, I think tax is generally from your income.

Speaker: You have not had any income since 2018?

Woman: No income.

Speaker: Madam, you are under oath. You have not had any income from 2018 to 2026? No income. That’s what you’re telling the Rivers people.

Woman: I was a member, a commissioner in the River State House of Assembly Service Commission.

Speaker: Hold on. You were a local government caretaker committee member, right?

Woman: It was just three months.

Speaker: Were you not paid salary when you were a caretaker committee member? You were paid?

Woman: Yes.

Speaker: Is that not income? But you said you have not had any income from 2018 to date as a politician. So no tax clearance. And that’s what you’re telling the Rivers people. Madam, that is not nice. You are misleading the 10th River State House of Assembly.

Woman: I’m sorry, Mr. Speaker, but I think I can still go back to…

Speaker: But you said, you have not had any income now.

Woman: I stand to be corrected.
