The Master's Vessel Classical Academy was established in September, 2001 as the third tier educational development of the Master's Vessel Ministries. Previous to this, the kindergarten and primary schools had been established in 1982 and 1991 respectively. The Classical Academy is a co-educational boarding school (No day-students allowed). The school attracts students from across the nation and overseas. The Academy enjoys full approval of the Abia State Ministry of Education. Its courses are fully accredited by the Federal Ministry of Education Inspectorate Services, the Abia State Ministry of Education, and National Examination Council (NECO) at the Academy's Junior Secondary level. Its courses at the Senior Secondary Level have also been fully approved by State Ministry of Education, West African Examination Council (WAEC), and National Examination Council (NECO). The Master's Vessel Classical Academy is a full member of the Association of Christian and Classical Schools of America (the first full member of school from Africa). The Academy is also a full member of Christian Schools International.
