On the 4th of December, 2023, The Federal Inland Revenue Service make a public announcement that there will he a waiver of interest and penalty for all Taxpayers who are having pending returns to submit.
Kindly find the attached for more information.
*Why am I telling you this?*
There are lots of people, consultants and Taxpayers who has ignorantly filled commencement date on the FIRS UPDATE FORM when they have or have not commenced business because they want the TAX IDENTIFICATION NUMBER to be verifiable at the banks while registering on TAXPRO MAX where the TAXPRO system has automatically been accruing TAXES DUE on the TAXPRO MAX DASHBOARD.
THE GOOD NEWS;
If you or any of our clients here has been onboarded on TAXPRO MAX, tell them to check their dashboard by logging in to the TAXPRO MAX portal with the LOG IN details sent their EMAILS at the point of registration.

If by December 31st any company is found wanting without properly filing their returns and it's still having TAXES DUE on their different TAXPRO dashboard, such company will be will be liable to pay such outstanding with:
LATE RETURNS PENALTY
INTEREST ON TAX
PENALTY ON TAX.
