FEPU SSANIP STORMS SOUTHERN SENATORIAL DISTRICT IN MASSIVE ADMISSION CAMPAIGN DRIVE
The Newly elected and appointed officials of SSANIP, Federal Polytechnic Ugep Chapter, on Thursday 11th June 2026, commenced a strategic admission sensitization tour of the Cross River Southern Senatorial District. The campaign, led by the Financial Secretary, Comrade Effiwatt Ededem, took the team to Calabar Municipality, Akpabuyo, and Odukpani Local Government Councils, where they engaged top government functionaries on the benefits of polytechnic education.
At Calabar Municipality Council, the delegation was received by the Council Secretary, Hon. Comrade Iso Bassey Edim, representing Rt. Hon. Apt. James Anam. The Council Secretary pledged full collaboration for the sensitization exercise. Comrade Clement Eteng, Senior Special Adviser on Conflict Resolution, Peace and Security, further highlighted why students should consider polytechnics for skill acquisition and entrepreneurship. Similar engagements in Akpabuyo and Odukpani LGAs saw the Chairman, Comrade Asukwo Ofofonono Nteyoho, outline FEPUβs cut-off marks and other benefits, with over 200 admission flyers distributed at each council.
The team concluded the tour at the Governorβs Office with an audience with Navy Commander Amb. Patrick Bassey Odiong, State Security Adviser, Southern Senatorial District. Team members canvassed for government support in projecting Federal Polytechnic Ugep, while Commander Odiong assured them of his commitment to mobilize support for increased enrollment across the district. SSANIP Ugep Chapter reiterated its commitment to projecting the polytechnic and meeting its admission targets through sustained stakeholder engagement.
