What is going on between Hamas and Israel is a religious war. It is therefore very wrong to advise President Tinubu to support Hamas. First, Nigeria is a multi- religious state. Nigerian should reject the advice but maintain a non-alignment posture. The issue here is neutrality. We must not take side. All those calling on Nigeria to support Hamas don't know the implications in both international law and international relations. As it is today, it is very dangerous to declare support for any of the belligerent parties in the Middle East. In this regard, Nigeria taking a neutral position is in consonance with our foreign policy thrust. Nigeria cannot afford the consequences of taking side in this conflict.
Finally, President Tinubu should disregard that dangerous advice.
