We are elated to inform the alumni of Sultan Muhammad Maccido Institute for Qur’an and General Studies, as well as the general public, about a 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 that reflects the enduring commitment of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Sokoto State, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐝 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐲𝐮 𝐒𝐨𝐤𝐨𝐭𝐨 (𝐅𝐂𝐍𝐀).

This remarkable progress is a testament to the effectiveness of our previous efforts as an 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 in raising concerns about the state of the Institute. His Excellency has demonstrated exceptional leadership by listening to and acting on our relentless calls for intervention, ensuring that our cherished alma mater receives the attention it truly deserves.

𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝, the Governor has approved and initiated the total renovation of our beloved Institute, a project worth a staggering 𝟒.𝟕 𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐚. This renovation will be executed in phases to ensure comprehensive improvements that meet global standards.

𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐈𝐍 𝐅𝐔𝐋𝐋 𝐒𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐆
As a testament to the seriousness and urgency of this commitment, all necessary arrangements have been made, and heavy machineries have already begun arriving at the school premises. This marks the official kick-off of this historic renovation, with activities now in motion to transform the Institute into a modern center of learning.
The 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞 of this transformative project includes:
1. Renovation of the Institute 𝐉𝐮𝐦𝐮’𝐚𝐭 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐪𝐮𝐞
2. Reconstruction of the 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐝𝐬 within the school.
3. Upgrades to the 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬’ 𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 (both male and female sections).
4. Overhaul of the 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦𝐬 (both male and female sections).
5. Refurbishment of the 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐮𝐦.
6. Modernization of the 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐬.
7. Rehabilitation of the𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐬 (both male and female sections).
8. Revamping of the 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 (both male and female sections), among other significant upgrades.
Future phases of the renovation are expected to follow promptly, ensuring the completion of this monumental effort.

On behalf of the National Body of the Alumni Association and all alumni of the Institute, we extend our profound gratitude to His Excellency for this extraordinary contribution to the progress of education in Sokoto State. This noble act speaks volumes about his dedication to the betterment of our alma mater and the empowerment of future generations.
We assure the Governor of our unwavering prayers for the success of his administration and his ultimate success in this world and the hereafter. As the saying goes, "He who plants a tree for others to enjoy its shade shall not be deprived of its blessings."

We also assure our fellow alumni and the general public that the National Body will closely monitor the progress of this renovation. We will not hesitate to raise concerns if the contractors deviate from the required standards. With vigilance as our watchword, we remain committed to ensuring that this project is executed to the highest quality.
Together, we can ensure that this project achieves its full potential and serves the Institute and the wider community for years to come.
Once again, we thank His Excellency, Governor Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto, for breathing new life into the Sultan Muhammad Maccido Institute for Qur’an and General Studies. May this effort yield abundant rewards and inspire even greater achievements for Sokoto State and the entire Ummah.

Alhamdulillah! Sultan Muhammad Maccido Institute for Qur'an and General Studies Sokoto has emerged as the Winner in British Parliament Debate (Impromptu B.P Debate) that took place today the 9th day of November, 2024 @ Institute Auditorium .

IT DOES NOT ENDS THERE!! The Institute also took the 3rd Position of Inter Secondary Schools Football Competition ⚽⚽ organized by thesame NGO ( DHS INTERNATIONAL)in collaboration with MOBSE & MOST, SOKOTO .
