WESTERN DELTA UNIVERSITY, OGHARA, HOLDS FIRST INAUGURAL LECTURE.

Western Delta University, Oghara, Delta State, has held her first Inaugural Lecturer, delivered by Professor Emmanuel Okaka, under the chairmanship of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Augustine Ikelegbe.

The lecture was titled MAN, WORK AND CONFLICT: THE SEARCH FOR SOLUTION THROUGH UNSAVORY YET NECESSARY TRIAD RELATIONSHIP.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Augustine Ikelegbe, commended the Lecturer, Professor Emmanuel Okaka for the professionalism with which he delivered the lecture and saluted his courage for leading the race, being the first to deliver the University's first Inaugural Lecturer.

The lecture was well attended by dignitaries, the University's Pro-Chancellor, Emeritus Professor Andrew Onokherhoraye, family members of the lecturer, management, staff and students of the University.

This, indeed, is a great leap for the University.

WESTERN DELTA UNIVERSITY (WDU) PRAYS

Western Delta University, Oghara, Delta State, recently held her first edition of WESTERN DELTA UNIVERSITY PRAYS.

The Prayer programme tagged REDEEMING THE LAND: ARISE AND SHINE, held at the University's main auditorium, permanent site, having Rev. Dr. John Aig-Unuigbe as Guest Minister.

Declaring the programme open, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Augustine Ikelegbe, noted that the event would be a once-in-a-semester programme.

He declared that Western Delta University, Oghara, is for God and that her new dawn had come.

The programme featured other ministers outside the University.
Prayers were offered for the entire University and its community and was well attended by both staff and students.

WDU MATRICULATES NEW STUDENTS

Western Delta University, Oghara, Delta State, has matriculated new students into the Colleges of Law, Natural and Applied Sciences and Social and Management Sciences.

Welcoming the new students into the prestigious University, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Augustine Ikelegbe, charged them to be vision driven and avoid distractions in their pursuit of academic excellence.

The high number of matriculants indicates a new dawn for the University.

Congratulations to the Vice Chancellor, the entire University and the newly matriculated students.

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Western Delta University, Oghara, Delta State, organized RESEARCH CITATION WITH EASE USING MENDELEY

The seminar featured staff and students of department as well as other departments in the University.

The essence of the seminar was to create a platform for researchers to approach their works with ease.

WESTERN DELTA UNIVERSITY, OGHARA, INAUGURATES STUDENTS REPRESENTATIVE COMMITTEE (SRC)

Western Delta University, Oghara, Delta State, under the leadership of Professor Augustine Ikelegbe, has inaugurated the Students Representative Council.

The council which comprises students from the various colleges of the University, would represent students in different matters. It is therefore, to serve as a link between the University management and the students.

The SRC members were presented by the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr Mike Abam.

The Vice Chancellor congratulated the council and charged them to be up and doing, making the students and the school proud.

He prayed for a successful tenure of office for the representatives.
