Food for thought
Please sacrifice ur time and read.
As a student, this strike has negative effect on you, regardless of your stand on it (against or support). I believe we come across many articles pointing out how worse our country is getting. The essence of our schooling isn't mainly to award us a certificate, it also include giving us a master mind of reasoning.
The politics of Nigeria always rely on two major parties, the rest are just names. Point is, the two parties always have the highest contest form fees. This means, no hope for an average citizen to rule democratically, because all we are after is the party not the candidate.
They insist that youth can not rule, forgetting that our freedom was secured by youth. Does this mean ruling is tougher than freedom fight? They technically make it impossible for average person to rule, ensuring the circle to keep rotating among them and their children. Only educated fellow can understand that the very people they restricted from contesting are the people awarding them their seats through their votes and support.
Untill we wake up and speak as a single voice, produce our patriotic candidates from a party of ours, made by us, and get others understand our country's conditions will things start to get better. The duty bestowed on every learned person is to let others know the power within their limits. "One to tell ten" belongs to us not them.
