*CHDC/Career Service Unit A.B.U Zaria ANNOUNCES THE OPAY SCHOLARS PROGRAMME 2026 AND INNOVATION CHALLENGE*
The Counselling and Human Development Centre/Career Service Unit, (CHDC) A.B.U. Zaria, is pleased to inform all students of the official launch of the *OPay Scholars Programme 2026.* Interested and qualified students are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity and apply accordingly, a major expansion of OPay’s ₦1.2 billion, 10-year commitment towards supporting students and youth development across Nigeria.
As part of this year’s programme, OPay has introduced the *Innovation Challenge* in partnership with Google, alongside *OPay Futures*, a platform designed to support career readiness and future opportunities for young talents across tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
The programme aims to support students through scholarships, innovation opportunities, practical learning exposure, webinars, bootcamps, and career development initiatives.
*Programme Highlights:*
• ₦1.2 billion, 10-year scholarship commitment for students in partner tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
• Launch of the Innovation Challenge in partnership with Google.
• Innovation Challenge prizes:
* Grand Prize: ₦10 million
* First Runner-Up: ₦5 million
* Second Runner-Up: ₦3 million

• Opportunity for outstanding participants to join OPay Futures for future career opportunities with OPay and partner organisations.
*Innovation Challenge Assessment Criteria:*
• Applications must be submitted as a team of five (5) undergraduate students from any tertiary institution in Nigeria.
• Teams are required to identify a real-life problem and provide a technology-driven solution.
• Applicants must have downloaded the Gemini App and initiated basic prompts within the application.
*Application Timeline:*
Applications for the Innovation Challenge will run from *May 25th to June 14th, 2026.*
