Which grammar is correct: “Did he close door?“ or “Did he closed the door?”?
Neither one is correct.
The verb “did” is an auxiliary verb and is the past tense of “do.” Further, when using an auxiliary verb (do, be, have) then the primary verb is in the bare infinitive which is written like the present tense. So, since you’ve asked “did he,” then the primary verb will be “close” not “closed.”
Further, English is one of many languages that use articles (a, an, the) with common nouns. So, your noun “door” needs an article.
Are you talking about a specific door? In that case, use the definite article: Did he close the door?
Perhaps you heard a door slam somewhere but don’t know which door it might have been, then the indefinite article: Did he close a door?
Hope this helps.
