RAMADAN COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT INITIATIVE

Powered by Council of Oke Ogun Visionary Leaders COVL

The Council of Oke-Ogun Visionary Leaders is pleased to announce a new community-focused initiative designed to strengthen trust, promote security awareness, and foster grassroots engagement across Oke-Ogun during the holy month of Ramadan.

This year, beyond the conventional Ramadan lecture, we are introducing a strategic Ramadan Community Engagement Programme where the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of each Local Government in Oke-Ogun or the officer next in command, will personally anchor the engagement session within their respective divisions.

The objective is clear: to use the Ramadan period as an avenue for meaningful dialogue between the Police and the masses. Each session will address one of the prevailing challenges commonly experienced within the divisions, providing practical guidance, promoting civic responsibility, and strengthening cooperation between security agencies and the communities they serve.

As we all know, the Police are partners in progress. This initiative creates an open platform for interaction, understanding, and renewed commitment to peace and public safety.

We are proud to announce that Saki West Local Government will host the maiden edition of this initiative on 25th of this month at Banusho Sango Road Saki. During the Council chapter's courtesy visit to the Police Station, the Divisional Police Officer warmly welcomed the idea, describing it as “exactly what our community needs” a grassroots-driven approach to real and lasting change.
This marks the beginning of a broader movement across Oke-Ogun.

We pray and work toward building an organization that is:
●Big enough to confront the challenges affecting our region,
●Bold enough to say no to negative trends in our communities, and
●Beautiful enough to make every son and daughter of Oke-Ogun proud.

Thank you, Sir, for loving your hometown so passionately. Thank you for standing firm for Saki, for Oke Ogun, and for all that concerns the growth and dignity of your people. Your name has become a source of encouragement, because you give us reasons to believe that with vision and commitment, a community can truly rise.

You are a hero in every sense of the word, one who does not wait to be asked but steps forward where duty calls.

On this belated celebration of your birthday, I lift up my prayers for you, By the grace of God, we will not hear any bad news about you while you. We pray for your safety and wellbeing and when the time comes for you to return home, may you come with abundance, with properties, with wealth, with luxuries, and may we receive you in Saki with a grand welcome, a celebration worthy of your greatness.

EID MUBARAK FROM THE COUNCIL OF OKE OGUN VISIONARY LEADERS
To Our Beloved Muslim Brothers and Sisters, Members, Followers, and the Entire Oke Ogun Family

Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

On this blessed day of Eid al-Adha, the Council of Oke Ogun Visionary Leaders (COVL) extends warmest greetings and heartfelt prayers to all our Muslim brothers and sisters, across Oke Ogun and beyond. May this sacred celebration bring peace to your hearts, blessings to your homes, and renewal to your spirits.

Eid is not just a festival — it is a moment of reflection, of gratitude, of sacrifice, and of unwavering hope in Allah’s divine timing. It is a reminder that no matter the test, no matter the wait — what is written by God will come, and it will be worth it.

As we gather in celebration today, we also lift our voices in prayer for Oke Ogun — a land rich in history, dignity, culture, and dreams. A land that has given so much, and yet still waits patiently for the fullness of what it truly deserves. May this Eid mark a turning point for our region. May our aspirations not be postponed to another generation. We pray with faith and conviction:
"May Oke Ogun rise in our time. May we walk in the greatness we have long envisioned." Ameen.

To our members and supporters in various walks of life — entrepreneurs, civil servants, students, artisans, traders, professionals, farmers, and public servants — we see you. We celebrate your hustle. We honour your sacrifices. As a council, we pray for divine expansion in your businesses, progress in your careers, clarity in your decisions, and mercy in your struggles. May this season open doors you never expected and pour barakah into everything you do.

Let this Eid also remind us that we are stronger together. That our region’s greatness will not be built by one person alone — but by a collective spirit of service, vision, and faith. Let us keep showing up for Oke Ogun. Let us keep building. Let us keep believing.

From all of us at the Council of Oke Ogun Visionary Leaders, we say:

Eid Mubarak!
Taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum (May Allah accept it from us and from you).
May joy never leave your home, and may Oke Ogun rise through our hands, in our lifetime.

With gratitude and purpose,
Council of Oke Ogun Visionary Leaders (COVL)
