As final phase of our project on Strengthening Primary Healthcare, WASH Service Delivery in Potiskm LGA. Youths Advocacy For Development (YA4D) with support from The Spotlight NG and Naijayouthfund is set to host a one-day virtual capacity building training titled:
“Enhancing Service Delivery in Primary Healthcare (PHC) and WASH: A Capacity Building Programme for Frontline Actors.”
This training is designed to equip frontline actors with practical knowledge and skills in WASH standards, service monitoring, communication, and the use of digital tools for community engagement.

During the week, some of our team representatives at Youths Advocacy For Development have officially unveiled the commencement of our first community engagement project following the successful award of a mini micro-grant from Spotlight NG, supported by , under the Youth Civic Engagement Academy Programme of the Local Government Accountability Fellowship.
This milestone marks the beginning of the implementation of our project titled: “Strengthening Primary Healthcare, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Service Delivery in Potiskum LGA.”
As we move it's significant to emphasize the importance of strong internal planning and a well-defined leadership structure to ensure effective and impactful delivery.
The project team is structured as follows:

Meeting Report: Physical Session of EXCOs and Members of Youth Advocacy for Development.
The Youth Advocacy for Development (YA4D) held a significant physical session involving the Executive Council (EXCO) members and the general membership to discuss and strategize the organization's future direction. The session aimed to strengthen collaboration, evaluate ongoing programs, and plan initiatives for sustainable development within the community. The meeting brought together vibrant youth advocates, united by their commitment to fostering positive societal change.
The meeting was held on 29th December, 2024 at Federal College Of Education Technical, Potiskum, Yobe State. The venue was chosen for its accessibility and ability to accommodate the members effectively, ensuring a conducive environment for discussions and activities.
The session was well-attended by the EXCOs, including the President, Vice President, Secretary-General, Financial Secretary, and Public Relations Officer, among others. Members from various departments and regions also participated actively, reflecting the diversity and inclusiveness of .
The meeting was equally structured around the following key agenda points:
1. Welcome Address
The session began with a welcome address by the President, who emphasized the importance of teamwork and youth involvement in driving societal development.
2. Review of Past Activities
The Secretary-General presented a detailed report on the initiatives undertaken in the previous quarter, including outreach programs, advocacy campaigns, and skill acquisition workshops.
3. Financial Report
The Financial Secretary shared the financial status of the organization, highlighting funds raised, expenditures, and areas requiring additional resources.
4. Discussion of Challenges
Members openly discussed challenges faced, such as funding constraints, logistical issues, and the need for stronger community partnerships.
5. Strategic Planning
The EXCOs facilitated brainstorming sessions where members proposed ideas for upcoming projects, including youth empowerment programs, environmental sustainability campaigns, and digital literacy initiatives.
