Port Harcourt ZOO PARK

The Port Harcourt zoo was opened to public viewing in 1974. The zoo started with a small short -nosed crocodile donated by Spiff himself.

The idea to own a zoological Park in Rivers State was conceived by the first military administrator of Rivers State, Commodore Alfred Diete - Spiff who built the zoo. Ever since, the Port Harcourt zoo has served the state as a place for:
1. Studies about animals
2. A relaxation and hospitality place for events, weddings, conferences, etc.
