What about the children in captivity?
Have they been freed yet? 🤔

The use of “am” and “I am”… I honestly don’t understand the confusion.

How can an English speaker or even a trained teacher struggle with something this basic?

Is it actual confusion, or is there a lack of understanding of the difference?

Gosh! 🙆

What do we want? 🤔

Are you aware that ‎ some English mistakes are very common because they originate from the direct translation of how people speak in their local language?

Are you one of those ...?

‎Let’s correct a few of them today.

EXAMPLES

‎❌ “I am coming.” (when leaving your house)
‎ That's an Incorrect meaning in standard English.

‎✅ “I am going out.” or “I am leaving now.”

‎❌ “I am hearing you.”
‎ That's not a natural English usage

‎✅ “I hear you.” or “I understand you.”

‎❌ “She is my senior sister.”
That's a common mistake in many English-speaking regions.

‎✅ “She is my elder sister.”

‎❌ “I will come and go.”
‎ This sounds so confusing in English

‎✅ “I will come and leave.”

‎Note that in English:
‎1. Don’t translate directly from your first language
‎2. Use natural English expressions
‎3. Focus on how native speakers actually say it

Make sure you don’t miss it.

One thing about the English language. 😂

You’ve been saying this wrongly… or have you been pronouncing it the right way?

Oh my God 🙆, hey! Come closer, does your mother's tongue interfere in your English pronunciation?

‎One of the biggest reasons many English learners struggle with pronunciation is not lack of knowledge…

‎ It is the influence of their mother tongue.

‎ You often pronounce English words using the sound rules of your first language,‎ but English has its own sound system.

EXAMPLES

❌Saying "junction" as "yunction" replacing the /dz/ sound with /j/

❌ Saying "brother" as "bloda"
Sounds replacement.

‎❌ Saying “school” as “s-kool” with extra stress on every letter
‎👉 Influenced by spelling

‎✅ Correct pronunciation: /skuːl/ school (smooth sound)

‎❌ Saying “receipt” as “re-ceipt" (pronouncing the “p”)
‎👉 Spelling influence

‎✅ Correct pronunciation: /rɪˈsiːt/ "ri-seet"(silent “p”)

‎❌ Saying “comb” as “com-b”
‎👉 Pronouncing silent letters

‎✅ Correct pronunciation: /kəʊm/ "comb" (silent “b”)

‎ In English diction:
‎1. Do not pronounce words based on spelling alone
‎2. English sounds are not always logical
‎3. Train your ears, not just your eyes

‎ Focus on smooth sound, not spelling.

From an offlineline school owners desk.

"Let me tell teachers a hard truth many people don’t want to hear.

A diction teacher can charge 1.5 million naira for just 3 months, while some teachers still earn 60k or less for that same period. Same country. Same education sector. Different value.

At some point, teachers must stop blaming only the system and start asking themselves: “What extra value do I bring to the table?”

We keep advising teachers every day: • Develop yourself
• Learn high-income educational skills
• Bring your skills online
• Build visibility
• Become known for something
But many refuse to move beyond the regular classroom routine.

The painful truth is this: if a school does not see your value, they will talk to you anyhow. If you leave today and they replace you tomorrow without stress, then you were only occupying space, not creating impact.

In this present generation, being “just a teacher” is no longer enough. You must become a solution.
Learn diction.
Learn phonics.
Learn early childhood education.
Learn special education.
Learn classroom technology.

Build your teaching brand online.

Be that teacher parents specifically request for.

Be that teacher schools are afraid to lose.

Be that teacher whose skill speaks before you even enter the room.

Even with my local teaching methods, I still get several online teaching offers which I respectfully decline because I currently don’t have the time. If I can come online and showcase my little skills, why can’t you?

Long vacation is almost here. Don’t waste it sleeping and complaining. Use it to upgrade yourself. One extra skill can completely change your salary, your confidence, and your future.

The education sector may not change overnight, but your value can change immediately the moment you decide to improve yourself".

Is this assertion right "Do me I do you"

Do you remember my daughters? There’s something I’ve noticed about them, and I love it so much.

Sometimes I feel like I actually won a jackpot 😭

And then I also think about me and my 5 siblings, we are 6 in total and the love we have for each other ehhh… nobody can come in between us.

Not that we don’t disagree oh, we do disagree and then agree again 😂 Sometimes we even quarrel, but we don’t allow any interference at all, not even from family members. 😂

We’ll even ask you, “Did we call you into this matter?” 😭

At the same time, we can’t stay away from each other.
We can’t even eat alone without thinking of each other.
No matter how small something is, we'll share it.

Now all of us are grown and living outside the house, but once anyone receives a salary or anything nice, it’s still the same system, we share automatically. We call daily, we hug, share lobe virtually and cry when needed.

My siblings’ enemies are my enemies, mine are theirs 😂 5 girls and 1 boy.

Now back to my kids.

I noticed something between my two daughters.

At first, they didn’t really get along like that, you know kids now! But lately I’ve seen something different and I just smile at myself.

My second daughter is more bold and outspoken while my first daughter is calm and doesn’t trouble anybody at all.

Not even to tell you when she's hungry, it's better you count your fingers to know when she ate last, or else she's ready to stay hungry.

"I'm hungry Mom" my daughter won't say...

So we had a church program where both of them were seated.

A small girl came towards my first daughter, and before I knew what was happening, she muttered something like she was going to s***k her, and then suddenly… she slapped my first daughter on the cheek.

Ahhh!

At that time, I was about to feed my second daughter who was already with me, so I was just standing there wondering, “If I react now, people will say they’re just children playing.”

Meanwhile, my first daughter was already in tears, her cheek red and sore.

But my second daughter…

Ahhh 😭

That lion left me sharp-sharp and walked straight to the girl.

The girl could be at about 5+, a real bully in training.

My second daughter went there, still trying to form words while shaking her body like a warrior (she still babbles a bit when speaking 😂, she'll be 2 soon), muttered something I couldn’t even fully understand, and before I knew what was happening…

She landed a thunderous slap on the girl’s face. E sweet me die! 😂

Then she held her sister’s hand, brought her back to where I was, and still kept muttering like a small commander with a serious face 😭

She even told her sister to sit down (chitdawn)… and the girl obeyed her like that. 😂

I was just there looking and wondering "Whatttt just happened here?”

The joy that filled my heart that day ehhh… I can’t even explain it.

My first daughter is the type who would say, " It is bad to return evil for evil,” even when she is crying.

She doesn’t fight back, she just reports and that's all.

But this my second daughter? Ahhh, she's fearless and a lioness, she devours her prey😭

Mehn! Was I right to feel happy when my second daughter reciprocated? 😂 💃💃🕺🕺👯

Are you aware that in English, the ending of a word can completely change how it is pronounced?

‎You cannot always read the ending the way it looks.

‎Let’s look at some important patterns.

‎ EXAMPLES

‎❌ -TION words pronounced letter by letter:
‎ “na-tion” as 'na-ti-on
‎✅ Correct pronunciation: /ˈneɪ.ʃən/ 'NAY-shun

‎❌ “EDUCATION” pronounced slowly:
‎ "e-du-ca-tion"
‎✅ Natural pronunciation: /ˌedʒ.uˈkeɪ.ʃən/. 'ed-yu-KAY-shun'

‎❌ “STATION” pronounced fully:
‎ "sta-ti-on"
‎✅ Natural pronunciation: /ˈsteɪ.ʃən/ 'STAY-shun'

‎❌ “RELATION” pronounced letter by letter:
‎ "re-la-ti-on"
‎✅ Natural pronunciation: /rɪˈleɪ.ʃən/ 'ri-LAY-shun'

‎In English phonics:
‎1. Word endings are often reduced
‎2. “-tion” almost always sounds like “-shun”
‎3. You must learn sound patterns, not spelling

I might be posting a short video by 7PM today where I will break down the correct pronunciation of these words in a very simple way.

Make sure you don’t miss it.

‎Did you know that most “-tion” words sound the same at the end?

Only 1 in 10 people pronounce these words correctly. Be honest… can you?

Watch till the end, you’ll realize you’ve been mispronouncing more words than you think.
