Time: 9am prompt.
Special guests of honor are the hon. Commissioner for justice and Attorney General of the state and the vice chancellor of the Rivers state university, prof. Blessing chimezie Didia. You are cordially invited!!

The SRC at it's second sitting Today elected hon. Baripkue ngbarabara of the faculty of tech and science as leader of the house, the house wishes him well as he joins hands with other principal members to move the SRC and the student community forward.

Rivers state house of assembly
Courtesy visit.
The members of the student representative council led by the speaker visited the rivers state house of assembly and met with the honorable member representing bonny constituency in the house, hon. Engr. Abinye b. Pepple. After receiving the members of the SRC graciously in his office, the speaker introduced the members of the SRC and thanked hon. Pepple for all he is doing for the welfare of students and his various developmental strides saying, He is indeed a model for young leaders everywhere. Responding, the Honorable thanked the members for identifying with him and promised full support of the SRC going forward including assisting to obtain an invite from the speaker of the rivers state house of assembly for the members of the RSU SRC to observe plenary from the house gallery, he also advised the members to always prize their academics over politics and strike a balance in their lives. The visit ended with group photos and promises of a return visit.

Before our official inauguration, the then SRC members elect paid a courtesy visit to the Dean of students affairs on the occasion of his birthday and presented him with a pencil sketch portrait. The Dean has been a pillar of the student union government and look forward to working with him and his mentorship.
