And preparing for exams can be so stressful.

With pressure from all angles, it's easy to become overwhelmed by the mountain of materials to cover.

That's why tonight I'll be sharing some study tips that have helped me prepare better for my exams.

But before that, you should understand that studying isnโ€™t about flipping through your notes or textbooks and trying to cram as much information as possible.

Itโ€™s about making sure you have a good grasp of the concept.

So, how can you effectively prepare for your exams without letting the pressure get to you?

๐—›๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐˜€๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฒ ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ฝ๐˜€ ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚ ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐˜๐—ฟ๐˜† ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐˜:

โ€ข ๐—ข๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฒ ๐—ฌ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ ๐—™๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜€: A lot of students struggle to study because theyโ€™re afraid of certain subjects or courses. And because of that, they have difficulties with the course.

But remember, ๐‘“๐‘’๐‘Ž๐‘Ÿ ๐‘ค๐‘œ๐‘›โ€™๐‘ก โ„Ž๐‘’๐‘™๐‘ ๐‘ฆ๐‘œ๐‘ข ๐‘๐‘’๐‘Ÿ๐‘“๐‘œ๐‘Ÿ๐‘š ๐‘๐‘’๐‘ก๐‘ก๐‘’๐‘Ÿ.

Learn to see the course youโ€™re struggling with as a challenge to be overcome with the help of God.

So instead of letting fear stop you from reading, why not take a deep breath and pour out your fears and burdens to God. He cares about every aspect of your life even your academics.

โ€ข ๐—›๐—ฎ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ ๐—” ๐—š๐—ฎ๐—บ๐—ฒ ๐—ฃ๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ป:

We all know the saying '๐’Š๐’‡ ๐’š๐’๐’– ๐’‡๐’‚๐’Š๐’ ๐’•๐’ ๐’‘๐’๐’‚๐’, ๐’š๐’๐’– ๐’‘๐’๐’‚๐’ ๐’•๐’ ๐’‡๐’‚๐’Š๐’'.

Planning is important for exam success. Without it, youโ€™re setting yourself up for disappointment.

To plan better towards your exams, I advise you to do two things;

- ๐€๐ง๐š๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ณ๐ž ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐œ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฌ.

What topics are you finding difficult?

What materials do you need to cover?

Prioritize studying those courses based on factors like the number of credit units, difficulty and arrangement on the exam timetable.

- ๐‘๐ž๐š๐ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ž๐ ๐ข๐œ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฒ.

For exams that are two weeks away, start studying the last paper first.

This way, the information will still be fresh in your memory when it's time to write the first paper, and you can revise when it's time for the last paper.

While for papers that are closer, study the courses based on their order of appearance.

Remember this strategy is based on how you've analysed your courses and your exam timetable.

โ€ข ๐— ๐—ฎ๐˜€๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—ฃ๐—ฎ๐˜€๐˜ ๐—ค๐˜‚๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜€: Apart from lecture notes, school textbooks and other materials, past questions are also important for your exam preparations.

Not only do they help you get familiar with the exam format and the types of questions youโ€™ll encounter, but they also give you a glimpse of the areas you should focus on the most.

โ€ข ๐—ฆ๐˜๐˜‚๐—ฑ๐˜† ๐—ช๐—ถ๐˜๐—ต ๐—ข๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜€: Studying in a group can be beneficial. Your peers can help you identify areas where you need improvement, offer different perspectives to a toic, and even share useful study methods or resources that you might not have considered.

No one is perfect, and learning from each other can really boost your exam performance.

โ€ข ๐—ฆ๐˜๐˜‚๐—ฑ๐˜†, ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ฒ, ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜, ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐˜: The key to exam success lies in a balanced approach. Study your materials, revise what youโ€™ve learned to cement the knowledge, take breaks to recharge your brain, and repeat this process as many times as needed.

โ€ข ๐—•๐—ฒ ๐—–๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜€๐—ถ๐˜€๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜: Try to study in small amounts instead of cramming everything in at the last minute. Not only will this help you retain information better, but itโ€™ll also keep you from feeling overwhelmed.

And lastly,

โ€ข ๐—ฆ๐˜๐—ฎ๐˜† ๐—›๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—น๐˜๐—ต๐˜†: Donโ€™t neglect your physical, spiritual and mental health because of your exams. Make sure youโ€™re eating well, praying and getting enough sleep. This will help you be more focused and productive.
