THE POWER OF GOD UNTO SALVATION BY - Apostle J.B David
Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
One of the primary reason Christ came to the world was to save mankind from eternal damnation. In so doing, He came with the "Power" of God.
In this context the word "Power" is not directly addressing the "Dunamis" but the Greek word "Khar-ece" which translates as "Charis" Which is saving grace.
The foundation of the gospel of Christ is built on the capacity to save. Even the most vicious criminal once convicted by the word of God through the finished works of Christ, is quickened to live a transformed life in Christ.
WHAT IS GRACE?
According to APOSTLE JOSHUA SELMAN:
Grace is all spiritual blessings that has been given to the believer for a victorious life, but can only he accessed through the office of yielding to Christ.
You can't genuinely enjoy grace if you are not yielded to Christ.
It's this grace that makes salvation possible. And it is not available to a few but to all men no matter the tribe or race you come from. But to partake of those promises that are embedded on the saving grace you mist first believe in the birth, death, resurrection and ascension st f Christ.
When you are yielded to Christ, the righteousness of God begins to unveil itself to you as your faith continues to grow through the word of God.
WHAT IS THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD?
The saving grace of God which is revealed in the gospel of Christ is the righteousness of God.
God has no intention of destroying the world without giving humanity a chance to change her ways. God had to send Jesus Christ to reconcile man back to God in order to avoid the awaiting damnation.
"For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith." Romans 1:17
Our faith in the saving grace of God keeps us alive in him. And above the corruption of this world.
