Queenie Sunflower International School Helping create the leaders of tomorrow! QAIS was founded in the year 2004 as a contribution to the betterment of the city of Port Harcourt and beyond!

This is done through the provision of first-class educational facilities to children in the following academic ranges:

-Preschool/Daycare
-Elementary (Primary), Grades 1-5

QAIS operates a unique "mesh curriculum" that is fundamentally Nigerian based but includes key American based educational concepts (such as the Montessori academic approach and the "no child gets left behind" academic approach

). At QAIS, we strongly believe that there is no ONE way to guarantee a child's academic success because every child is different and thus, learns differently. Therefore, the combination and implementation of several tutelage styles is used to create a conducive environment for all of our pupils. Our pupils come from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. Pupils are treated as individuals with every stage of their education carefully planned. We place a high priority on pupil welfare and providing a safe and healthy environment. Alongside rigorous academic standards we have high behavioural expectations and provide a happy, secure and caring environment. The pupils are offered a variety of learning experiences which include collaborative and independent approaches. Our mission is to ensure that every pupil feels valued and has many opportunities to make valuable contributions as well as respecting all other members of the school community.
