Building alone does not guarantee a good reputation for academic achievement. It is ridiculous that some of the schools advertising and charging high school fees are not approved centre for any school examination by the States or Federal governments. Students of those school are made merchandise of trade by the Proprietors of these fake schools who charge higher fees and send them to approved schools to write their examinations. Parents are therefore victims of educational 419 every year with their hard earned money and future of their children exploited. No wander, this generation is like a group of people who have refused to watch a properly dressed masquerade in organized dancing exhibition, but are crowded up to watch a tattered cane carrying masquerade dancing on the main road. Commercial and Industrial Trade Centre which is Government Approved Private College for both junior and Senior Secondary School is situated in Nkpor-Rumuolumeni in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State. It is in a rural area which is outside the clustered, boisterous and polluted areas of Port Harcourt metropolis. Accessibility is very easy by road through Rumuepirikom popularly known as Wimpey Junction (COE) Road, leading to Rumuolumeni along NNS Okemini, Aker Base and Saipem Companies where the Road terminates into the Bonny Rivers. This saying and philosophy behind it has for more than three decades now guided step by step, the growth of Commercial and Industrial Trade Centre into the present enviable status of adulthood as an institution. The road was long, the trek tedious and the destination almost a mirage. But with our determination, unswerving and fervent faith to succeed, we have come thus far today. It is not that we are trying to sing our own song or blow our own trumpet. That would be still premature at this stage, as we believe that there are yet many more grounds to explore in our quest to give the best form of education to our young ones in whose hand is the future generation. Commercial and Industrial Trade Centre was founded in 1965 to educate boys and girls from all states of Nigeria as well as from Overseas whose parents want to have the best kind of upbringing for them. With this complement of students the school has strived to achieve both National as well as an international character. More specifically the aims of Commercial and Industrial Trade Centre are:
1. To-render philantropic and educational service to all Nigerians and Non-Nigerians irrespective of s*x, religion or social status.
2. To encourage in the minds of students a very high sense of discipline, inspire them with the love of excellence and equip them with the requisite intellectual skills for precision in perception, thinking and expression by helping them to respect and value their own talents and develop them to be self-Reliant to the fullest possible extent.
3. To positively encourage the formation of World values and the development of Christian faith together with responsible self discipline.
4. To ensure that student are prepared to adjust to the challenges of a rapidly changing world by developing attitudes of tolerance and capacity to understand people with different views and of other cultures through experiments of living and working together, and through the study of Nigerian culture Art and languages as well as the world’s cultural heritage.
5. To encourage leadership qualities in all students such as high moral standards, truthfulness determination and integrity.
6. To encourage responsible decision making and independence of thought with particular analysis on domestic, community, national and international issues.
7. To encourage a co-operative attitude in a wide range of curricular and extra curricular activities and awareness of and a commitment to inter-dependence through group and team experience. To achieve the afore-mentioned aims, it is part of the programme of the school to involve parents in the upbringing of their children. To this end, parents will be invited to visit and give valuable talks to students on various sound and philosophical topics relevant to the aims and objectives of the school. Informal discussion with staff and students will also be encouraged.

*NAME CRAFTING AS IT MAY AFFECT BOTH YOUNG AND OLD*

*RE: PARENTS ATTENTION*

The Governor-elect running mate of Balyesa State was sacked by the Nigeria's Supreme Court because of irregularities in his names as they appeared on his certificates and affidavits. It is an avoidable mistake.

Few weeks, some UI &UNN Corp members were banned from entering the NYSC camp, because of the irregularities in their names.

*To avoid such thing, you need to note this.*

By *SS3* , it is expected that every students should have perfected their three names identification on all documents and mastered how it should appear.

Educators & Parents Should Take note that *National* *recognition* of *names order* on official documents begins with their *O'Level certificates* (WAEC & GCE).

*STUDENTS AND TEENAGERS SHOULD BE PROPERLY GUIDED ON NAMES UNIFORMITY.*
Let them know that what they registered in O'Level exams is what they should start having across all documents of identification hence.

*In cases of change of names,* teach them that they will have to get a *court affidavit* followed by NEWSPAPER PUBLICATION *(they should buy the original paper and make photocopies, that is their reciept).*

Also take note that the moment they register for the National Identity Card *(NIN)* , They *CANNOT* change their names again.
So, Name Crafting is very essential. Infact how their names appeared on their Jamb UTME Registration is what they will carry all through school and that is what they will have on their certificates... So don't joke with their *name crafting* again.

Your NIN, BVN, VOTERS CARD, INTL PASSPORT, DRIVER'S LICENSE, and every official document should reflect this.

**WHAT TO DO AS A PARENT?*

Sit down with your Pr***en or Teenager, agree on the three names they want to bear for the rest of their lives, help them identify *last Name* , *First Name* & *Middle Name* , teach them the order.

Then let them learn & master how to write it accordingly.

The Federal Government has said the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations (SSCE) organized by the National Examination Council (NECO) for SS3 students will commence on October 5 and end on November 18, 2020.

The Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajuiba, announced the dates for the examination at the end of a two-day meeting with Chief Executives of examination bodies in the country.

In a statement released today Wednesday, July 29 by the Director of Press and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Education, Ben Goong, the ministry said the National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) into Unity Colleges will hold on October 17, 2020.

The ministry also said the Basic Education Certificate Examinations, (BECE) for JSS 3 pupils also conducted by NECO, will start on August 24 and end on September 7, 2020.

The statement said registration for the NECO (SSCE), which is on-going, will end on September 10 and that there will be no further extension.

The statement added that the National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) examinations will start on September 21 and end by October 15, 2020.

The National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS) is scheduled to hold from Wednesday, September 23 to October 17.
