‎You can be a 'better' you if you desire to. Life is all about taking chances, walking through thorns and hedges. You don't have to limit your self-ability. You can be an EXTRAORDINARY you. Life is better when you are happy. Trials come same as temptations but the question remains; do you allow it defeat you?. Are you the type that wallows in self pity?.

‎This is a call for meditation. Strike you chest and say to yourself -'I CAN DO IT'. Step out of your comfort zone, let go of toxic people, relationships and environment. It's not a crime to dream big but then, don't just dream it. Jump, fly, soar for the sky is your starting point . Remember that you're destined for greatness but that doesn't mean you can aim your heights if you don't strive; I say again 'STRIVE'.

In each season of my life, I have found myself falling into two mental traps which are not helpful. One is the "if only" Syndrome, and the other is the "What if?" syndrome.

Here's how "if only" might express itself:
* "If only I had a husband. "
* "If only I had more money. "
* "If only my husband would act like... "
* "If only we had a different house. "
* "If only I had a really close friend. "
* "If only I didn't come from such a wounded past. "
* "If only I didn't struggle with this. "

Can you identify more? You can probably add to this list yourself. Over the years I have realized that these thoughts merely lead one into a case of self-pity.

But the reality is that if the desire for "If only" is met, you will just have another one to add to the list. Too often I get myself into this mindset without even realizing it. And it sinks me into a bad mood or a feeling of being depressed. The focus is on yourself, but you and I need to confess this selfishness and ask God to forgive and enable you to focus on Him and no other. You also need to ask Him to give you a grateful heart..

Think about it.

You had been applying everywhere.

Sending CVs.

Attending interviews.

Nothing was working.

Then one day, a friend makes just one phone call. He drops your name. Suddenly, doors that were locked swing open. That call changed your story.

Let’s be honest.

Success has many fathers. Nobody rises alone. Somebody vouched for you. Somebody recommended you. Somebody took a risk with their reputation to open that door.

Don’t let pride rewrite the story in your head. Gratitude is not weakness. It’s wisdom.

And remember this: God uses people to lift people. To forget them is to forget the God who sent them.
