Through my little experience in research,I have realised that students most times finds it difficult to draft out a good researchable topic. I feel for them actually especially when they come to me requesting I assist them in restructuring there projects topic. I want to share some of the basic things you need consider when trying to draft out a project topic. They are as follows:
1. Your topic must capture the problem you want to solve.
2. Your topic must have a geographical location(case study) where it is been carried out.
3. Your topic must capture the independent variable(solution) and the dependent variable(problem). E.g air transportation and tourism performance in Rivers state. Air transportation is what you want to use solve the problem of lack of tourism performance in Rivers state.
4. It is advisable you minimise your case study (geographical location your research is been carried) as much as you can. For instance, imagine trying to write on a topic"air transportation and tourism performance in Nigeria". Of cause there is nothing wrong with this topic except that it will require you to visit different airport in Nigeria when you want to distribute questionnaires to your respondent. This will make the work more stressful, it will take more of your time and even your resources too. So it is advisable you narrow down your research as much as you can.
