In a spectacular display of intellect and school spirit, Golden Valley Academy witnessed one of its most gripping academic showdowns today as students battled fiercely over the motion: *“It’s Better to Patronize Local Products Than Imported Goods.”*

The event—hosted by the esteemed Proprietor and chaired by the Principal—captivated the entire school community. From the moment the program opened, the atmosphere was charged with excitement, thanks to the meticulous preparation of the Literary and Debate Committee, supported by dedicated teachers, staff, and an eager audience of students.

What followed was nothing short of front-page drama. The junior and senior teams delivered arguments with passion, poise, and precision, turning the stage into an arena of ideas. Spectators watched in suspense as both sides countered, defended, and advanced their points with impressive command.

In a nail-biting finish, the senior students claimed victory by the slimmest possible margin—155 to 154—a result that sent waves of applause across the venue.

The spotlight also shone brightly on individual stars of the day:

*Qomorudeen Umar (JSS 1)* stunned judges with his confidence, earning the Best Presenter Award.

*Qaadri Abdulmalik (SSS 2)* secured the First Runner-Up position with a compelling delivery.

*Oyebisi Nafisah (SSS 1)* followed closely as Second Runner-Up, showcasing impressive clarity and maturity.

Golden Valley Academy once again demonstrated its commitment to raising articulate, confident thinkers ready to step onto national and international stages. As today’s electrifying contest proved, the future debaters and leaders of tomorrow are already sharpening their voices—and Golden Valley is leading the charge.

*Golden Valley Academy Celebrates Eid al-Fitr with Pupils*

Golden Valley Academy marked Eid al-Fitr with a fun-filled celebration organized by its proprietor, Dr. Rafiu Adisa Bello, to create a joyful atmosphere for pupils.

The event, now an annual tradition, aims to share the festive spirit with children. This year's celebration featured students from Basic 2 to 6, along with neighboring children, enjoying activities like Qur'an recitation and quizzes.

In his remarks, the proprietor expressed his appreciation to parents for entrusting their children to Golden Valley Academy. He also encouraged them to support the school by becoming sponsors to make future events even more colorful and impactful

The Headmaster, Mr. R. O. Abdulateef, and a parent representative also commended the school for its kind gesture and praised all staff members for their efforts in making the event a success.
