CELEBRATING ONE YEAR OF PURPOSEFUL LEADERSHIP OF HON. DR. SEYI JAKANDE IN ODI-OLOWO/OJUWOYE LCDA

Today, I joined distinguished leaders, political stakeholders and residents of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA to celebrate the first anniversary in office of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Dr. Seyi Jakande.

The celebration was graced by the presence of the Chairman of the Lagos State Governance Advisory Council (GAC), Prince Tajudeen Olusi; Senator Ganiyu Olanrewaju Solomon, Apex Leader Mushin & Odi-Olowo /Member Governance Advisory Council (GAC) Lagos State; the Lagos State APC Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, and members of the party’s executive; the Member of the House of Representatives, Mushin Constituency I, Hon. Prince Adeyemi Alli; the Immediate Past Chairman of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, Hon. Rasaq Ajala, alongside other distinguished leaders and stakeholders.

A major highlight of the celebration was the unveiling of a ₦500 MILLION MEGA EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME, a laudable initiative designed to impact lives across education, skills acquisition and transportation.

This intervention reflects a leadership philosophy that goes beyond physical infrastructure by investing directly in the people, creating opportunities, supporting livelihoods and empowering residents to become more economically productive and self-reliant.

HON. AREMO OLOKODANA WISHES HON. RAZAQ AJALA A HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Today, I warmly celebrate a distinguished leader, brother and accomplished public servant, Hon. Razaq Ajala, the Immediate Past Chairman of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, on the occasion of his birthday.

Hon. Razaq Ajala’s years of service to our community remain a testament to his commitment to grassroots development and the wellbeing of the people. His administration touched various sectors, with notable contributions to the development of education.

As an Education Secretary, I particularly appreciate his interventions in the education sector, including the engagement of Ad-hoc teaching and non-teaching staff to complement the workforce in our schools.

His administration also promoted academic excellence through the organisation of debate and quiz competitions between public and private schools, providing our pupils with opportunities to showcase their talents and knowledge while rewarding outstanding participants with cash and gift prizes.

These initiatives, among many others, contributed to creating a more engaging and supportive learning environment for our children and demonstrated the importance of investing in the next generation.

Y2026 ENROLLMENT DRIVE CONTINUES IN MUSHIN!

Enroll Now, Secure the Future!

Mushin LGEA today continued its Y2026 Enrollment Drive Advocacy Campaign across the Local Government.

The drive, an initiative of Lagos State Government through LASUBEB in collaboration with Mushin LGEA, is aimed at sensitizing parents and stakeholders on the Y2026 Enrollment Drive, the Lagos Education Access Fund (LEAF) and other State Government Education Initiatives.
Today's sensitization walk was led by the Education Secretary, Mushin LGEA, Hon. (Aremo) Yusuf Ademola Olokodana, alongside the Head of Section, School Mobilization, Mrs. Olukolu Sarah Funmilayo, School Mobilization Officers, Information Officer and the dedicated HeadTeachers and Staff of Adeleye Primary School, Ojuwoye Community Primary School, Ojuwoye Public Primary School and St. Martins Primary School.

This follows the successful flag-off held last Wednesday, 5th August, 2026 at Idi-Araba/Atunrase/Mabo Axis.
We appreciate all parents, guardians and community leaders who received us. Remember, every child deserves quality education!

Today, the streets of Idi-Araba, Atunrase and Mabo came alive with one message: every child deserves a quality education.

Leading the advocacy walk was the Education Secretary, Mushin LGEA, Hon. Aremo Yusuf Ademola Olokodana, alongside the Head of Social Mobilization Section, Mrs. Olukolu Sarah Funmilayo, members of the Social Mobilization Section, and the Head Teachers and staff of Ishaga Close Primary School, Islamic Mission Primary School, Holy Rosary Primary School, and Our Lady of Fatima Primary School.

The walk was more than an awareness campaign—it was a collective commitment to ensuring that no child is left behind. Education remains the strongest foundation for a safer, more prosperous and progressive society, and every child enrolled in school today is a step closer to a brighter future for Mushin and Lagos State.
