I scored 209/400 in UTME. That year, Unizik admission cut-off mark was 200/400. I was at a narrow escape. It’s clear that my score was low, and over 600 JAMBITES applied for Geological Sciences in Unizik.

I calculated the probability and knew that I have HEAVY work to do. I didn’t know “person wey know person” to help me gain admission. So, it’s either I get it on merit list or I will go to Federal Polytechnic Oko for Computer Engineering.

Do you know what I did?

I bought Unizik post-UTME past questions and warred with the book. I read it back to back so much that I can recite the questions and answers without looking at them. On the day of Post UTME, I scored 97%.

97/100

Brethren, my name was at number 4 on the Unizik admission merit list for my department. I moved from losing hope topping the admission.

Failure can be a great motivation.

To those sitting for UTME this year, I wish you all the best.

The Cimet was monumental to my UTME score and admission as a whole. The tutorials not only served as a safe space for me but for many others.

The tutorial had the right blend of everything. The tutors were well learned and ready to perform their duties at any time.
The discipline was also top-notch. Everything was carefully controlled, aiming not only to achieve good UTME results but also to develop our characters as a whole.
We were not only tutored but were also taught to thrive on the right type of competition. We took various tests aimed at sharpening our minds for D-day.

We were also mentored on various career paths and how to make the right choices during our time in the higher institution.
It was ensured that the higher institutions' environment was emulated as much as possible so that we would be able to find our ground whenever we eventually get admitted into the higher institution.

On the whole, the Cimet had a major impact.
