Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind. To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas.

Christmas is a day of meaning and traditions, a special day spent in the warm circle of family and friends.

We are on holiday now.
Kindly take note of the following :

Child molestation

Child predators are everywhere seeking whom to devour.

You don't want to see this happen to your princes and princesses.

Be extra careful.

A. Know where your children or wards are at the time.

B. Leave them with very responsible and reasonable, not just some respectable adult jerks.

B. Avoid leaving children alone for too long.

C. Apply safety measures in and around the house.

D. Secure your home and be vigilant.

E. Check and understand why your kids like an adult and check why some adults repel them.

F. Don't be caught up in this wayward society. Wear modest and decent clothing for your girls.

G. Holidaymakers. . Don't send your kids off to their grannies without helps around. Most Grannies are weak, vulnerable, and not so disciplined anymore. Don't burden them with children's stress.

H. Don't accommodate other kids you can't care for in the name of the holiday.

I. Watch your teenagers.

J. Get closer to your children and wards this holiday.

Keep close, embrace your children, pray and play together.

They can watch television but be mindful of what goes into their mind. Most of the time, a lot of accidents could have been avoided.

Always give them reasons to appreciate life more.

Do have a wonderful week and a lovely fun-filled holiday.

*PREVENTION OF OUTBREAK OF MEASLES: A CALL TO ACTION!*

Dear Parents/Guardians

As we proceed in this second half of the term, it is pertinent for us as a school to inform our parents of the preventive measures against an outbreak of measles.

*MEASLES*
This is an acute viral respiratory illness. Some of the symptoms include:
*️⃣ Fever (mostly high) and malaise
*️⃣ Cough and
*️⃣ Conjunctivitis.
These symptoms are followed by a maculopapular rash which usually appears about 14 days after a person is exposed.

*Facts about measles*
*️⃣ Measles can be sometimes serious.
*️⃣ It is very contagious.
*️⃣ It has an infectious period of about 2 days and can show the effect on the 3rd day.

*Call to action*
*️⃣ As Parents/Guardians, kindly ensure proper and frequent washing of hands at home.
*️⃣ Also, training children to cover their mouths and noses with a tissue while coughing or sneezing cannot be overemphasized.

As a school, we will continue to ensure an infection-safe and healthy environment for the pupils. We will also educate them on the need to maintain proper hygiene.

However, we implore you to inform the school if any child is suspected to have symptoms (s) of measles. To prevent an outbreak, please let your child/ward receive proper medical attention and be certified fit to be in school.

*FIVE BASIC ETIQUETTES TO TEACH YOUR CHILD* 😜

To ensure the proper nurturing of your child, here are 5 basic etiquette to teach them.

*1. Greeting*

As Africans, the culture of greeting is one that is held in high esteem. A child that doesn’t greet is often concluded to be one without proper upbringing.

A basic etiquette you should teach your child is greeting. From their tender age, make it a practice to inculcate the habit of greeting in them. Teach them not only to greet elders but also their mates and those younger than them.

Greeting anyone is considered a sign of respect and it also means the person being greeted is valued. So, inculcate this in your child.

*2. Table manners* 😜

Another etiquette you should teach your child is proper table manners.

You need to teach your child table manners such as not to overload their plate, to take only as much as they need, not to leave left-o food in plates, hold the spoon right or ensure the food doesn’t fall on their clothes when eating with their hands.

You can also teach them how to use cutlery so that they can hold it right.

The table manners cover a large part of how your child will behave in a party, a social gathering and in society generally.

*3. Knocking before opening the door* 😜

Instilling in your child the culture of knocking the door before opening is a vital one in the upbringing of your child.

Teaching your child to knock before coming into your room or any other place saves them from seeing any undesirable sight that may affect them in the long run.

It is also a sign that they recognise and respect people’s privacy .

*4. Respect for others* 😜

The rate at which some youths display lack of respect to both their parents and everyone around them shows an error in their upbringing while they were still in their tender age.

In order not to breed rude children who grow up to become disrespectful adults, it is important you train your child to respect not only you but also everyone around them.

*5. Speaking courteously* 😜

Another etiquette to teach your child is the need for them to speak courteously. Teach them to be positive in all they say, help them to avoid negative comments especially whenever they are relating with others.

Also teach them to use the five magic words always. These magic words are:

Please
Excuse me
Sorry
Thank you
Pardon me

You have a great role to play in ensuring that your child grows into a responsible adult. Teaching the above etiquette and other vital ones will help in the overall upbringing of your child.

Back to School School! Back to School! Back to School!!!

We are happy to inform you, our esteemed parents/ guardians that our children are resuming back to school on Monday 5th Sept. 2022 after a long holiday.

We want to thank God for his protection over their lives throughout the holidays.

We also appeal to all our wonderful parents to purchase their children's writing/reading materials on or before Monday to make work easy for our teachers. Please as for those of us that have an outstanding balance, should please complete it before the resumption date.
