A New Dawn of Excellence: Commissioning of the New Building and inaugurating the 2025/2026 academic session by Most Rev. John Akinkunmi Oyejola
Today 9th October, 2025, the entire community of Our Lady & St. Francis Catholic College, Osogbo, stands in joy and thanksgiving as we witness the official commissioning and dedication of a new building by His Lordship, Most Rev. John Akinkunmi Oyejola, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Osogbo. This momentous occasion marks a new chapter in the college’s history and a deeper commitment to education inspired by faith, discipline, and excellence.
The Catholic Church, through her long and rich tradition, has always recognized education as a vital tool for human and spiritual development. The unveiling of this new edifice is therefore a visible sign of the mission to form young minds in wisdom and virtue, equipping them to serve God and humanity faithfully.
The successful completion of this magnificent project is the fruit of collective effort, sacrifice, and faith. The college community; Proprietor, Principal, administrators, staff, parents, students, and others worked hand in hand to transform this dream into a tangible reality. Their unwavering support and generosity demonstrate the strength of unity and the shared passion to promote quality education rooted in morals. It also highlights the school’s commitment to continuous improvement and the holistic formation of students.
Indeed, this building is more than a combination of bricks and mortar; it is a monument of hope. It represents a renewed promise to pursue academic excellence and moral uprightness, it also stands proudly as a beacon of light, inspiring current and future generations of students to “shine forth in knowledge and virtue.”
