🏆 CHAMPIONS OF THE WOW ANNUAL DEBATE! 🏆

We are thrilled to announce that Ado Girls' Secondary School, Onitsha – A Smart School emerged 1st Position at the WOW Annual Debate held on Friday at the Onitsha Zonal Office Hall.

Our brilliant students demonstrated exceptional confidence, critical thinking, eloquence, and teamwork as they debated on the following thought-provoking motions:

🔹 This House believes that the persistence of harmful traditional practices such as Female Ge***al Mutilation (FGM) is a failure of the Nigerian government.

🔹 This House believes that political parties should be legally required to field women and girls in 50% of electable positions.

Their outstanding performance earned them the First Position, bringing pride and honour to our great school.

We sincerely appreciate our dedicated principal, teachers, parents and everyone whose unwavering support contributed to this remarkable achievement. Most importantly, we celebrate our exceptional students for proving once again that excellence is our tradition.

A Proud Moment for Ado Girls' Secondary School, Onitsha! 🌟

We are proud to celebrate the outstanding performance of our students at the Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN) Competition, held yesterday at Federal Government Technical College (FGTC), Awka.

Competing in the Project Category, our students showcased exceptional creativity and innovation by developing a smart mobile application designed to support farmers in crop management. The app enables farmers to identify diseases affecting their crops, accurately diagnose the problem, and receive appropriate treatment recommendations, helping to reduce crop loss and improve agricultural productivity.

The innovation received commendation from the panel of judges for its originality, practicality, and potential impact on the agricultural sector. Emerging among the top-performing schools at the competition is a remarkable achievement that reflects the dedication, ingenuity, and hard work of our students and their mentors.

This accomplishment reaffirms our commitment to nurturing young innovators, critical thinkers, and solution-driven leaders through quality STEM education and hands-on learning.

Ado Girls' Secondary School, Onitsha, was honoured to receive a generous donation from H & J Cares Foundation in support of academic excellence and student development.

The Foundation presented laptops to our SS3 students, equipping them with valuable digital tools as they prepare for the next phase of their educational journey. In addition, exercise books, pens, and pencils were awarded to our outstanding Junior Secondary School students who emerged as the best performers in their respective subjects.
