To All Interview Waiver Applicants:
The U.S. Consulate General is pleased to offer this new and innovative Interview Waiver Process and has been successfully processing passports since the Feb 1 program launch. The success of the program depends on all applicants following the criteria for application acceptance. The main criteria is that your visa expired less than 2 years from the date of your renewal appointment. A significant number of people have booked appointments each day even though their visas expired more than 24 months ago. We cannot accept your application if your visa expired more than 24 months ago. Each applicant who has come to the appointment with a visa expiration more than 24 months has unfortunately been turned away.
