Are you GUILTY OR STARVING?

There come a time in a man's life when helpers are required for the next phase of life.....

OH LORD INCREASE OUR FAITH. LUKE 17:5

Oh lord increase our faith!, the apostles cried...we are tired of little faith that can't move a box not to talk of mountain, can you add more milk to our watery tea, lord! we desire more salt in this soup, but was their request granted? Oh yeah it was.

Have you ever made that similar request before? Maybe or maybe not. But I have made that request to God several times, asking HIM to increase my faith when I didn't understand what I was praying for, well I suppose the disciples understands that they were actually asking God to subject them to more Trials through various kind of tests, and that's what they received. Ask and it shall be given unto you.

Just like the disciples, I desire an increase of faith, of course that's expected of a true disciple you know, you must want more of God: little did I know that I was seriously requesting for more Trials, Test and more Trouble times. As we all know, a students get promoted to another class having passed various tests and exams necessary, similarly there can't be an increased faith without increased necessary trials.

Most times we keep finding ourselves in one trouble times or another, as we get over one, it is exact time for another, most times we struggle with our troubles, sometimes we ask ourselves why? , am I the only one in the world? , so many times we overreact, manifest anger, carry a frown face, we often look like a timid snail in a scratched shell, we most times neglect and forget that as Believers we are in a school whereby our graduation date is when our lord shall appear moreover, it is expedient that we promote from lower level to higher level and that can only be through various Tests. The troubles we pass through are necessarily important if we must grow in faith.

The reason why so many of us couldn't move boxes not to talk of mountains is because we keep failing our promotional exams because of limiting factors such as: unbelief, impatience, lack of tolerance, lack of wisdom, ignorance, bitterness, un forgiveness, hatred, strife, anger, malice, etc. We absolutely remain stagnated because we find it difficult to overcome these limitations. You don't overcome what you have not fought, no one talks of victory without having to defeat an enemies stronghold, similarly it is impossible to increase faith without having to fight trials.

Jesus fought the hunger trial when he became hungered after 40 days and 40 nights fasting and prayers, now that's what it means to be tested, Father Abraham fought unbelief in its face while he had to sacrifice his son Isaac after several years of childlessNess and wonderful promises from God, Joseph had to fight sexual sin when he came face to face with sexual sin in reality, Jesus defeated anger by showing love when he was being beaten and nailed to the cross by soldiers. Now these and many more are what increasing faith entails. Men with increased faith are men of power and authority, even the devil can't stop them.

For us to increase faith, we must come face to face with situations and people that we challenge us, such people are God's instruments to bring us to higher ground where we longed to be. We overcome sickness by beating sickness, so it is essential to be sick first or show symptoms of sickness or even men around us manifest a disease state or another, that's the right time to showcase our belief in God and exercise our faith and power in the name of Jesus. We overcome sin by beating sin hands down to its face. Most times we don't know we have been equipped with what it takes to defeat our troubles until we come face to face with it.

Moreover, we must understand that when a student is writing Tests or Exams the teacher is always silent, that's the reason why when we call on God during our trial times He smiles at us without a word. Teachers are always silent while students write exams. A prepared student always smile when given Exam paper, on the other hand an unprepared student panic and look forward to help where help doesn't belong. How prepared are you for your trial times?

It takes a level of Wisdom to understands that our troubles are actually our promotional exam into higher level of faith such that can move mountains, the more reason why Apostle James exhorts in chapter 1 and verse 2, he said we should consider it Pure Joy, whenever we face trials of many kinds. God expects us to show positive results in our attitude when faced with trials, every trial must produce a Fruit Called PERSEVERANCE, perseverance is what we need to develop in to a mature and complete Christian lacking nothing when it is allowed to finish its work in us. Every one with a mature and complete stature is fit for the crown of life. James 1:12.

I found out a way to get prepared for trials and overcome, here it is James 1:25.
But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
