Senator Peter Nwaoboshi passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the age of 67 following a brief illness.

His death was confirmed by Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and the Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Arthur Akpowowo.

Profile and Career
Political Roles: Nwaoboshi represented the Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly from 2015 to 2023. He previously served as a two-term chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State before defecting to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2021.

Legislative Impact: He was a prominent figure in the Senate, notably serving as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Niger Delta Affairs.

Public Service: His long career included service as a commissioner in Delta State, Chairman of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, and a political aide.
