The Wakirike Students Union (WASU), proudly celebrates the success of the RSU Cultural Day by the WASU RSU chapter, a truly colourful and enthralling event that showcased the beauty, diversity, and richness of our cultural heritage.

The atmosphere was filled with pride, unity, and excitement as students from different cultural backgrounds came together to display their traditions, attire, music, dance, and values. It was indeed a memorable celebration that reminded us of the strength found in our diversity and the importance of preserving our cultural identity.

I extend our heartfelt appreciation to every Wakirike student who represented our culture with excellence and dignity. Your enthusiasm, commitment, and outstanding participation made our presence remarkable.

Today marked another significant milestone for the Wakirike Students Union (WASU) National Secretariat as the 2026 Administration paid a successful courtesy visit to HRH. King Aceheseinimie Micah Frank Bolo-Luka (VIII), Amayanabo of Bolo Kingdom.

During the engagement, the administration proudly presented its innovative, student-development-driven programme roadmap, highlighting its vision for academic excellence, youth empowerment, leadership development, skills acquisition, and community impact across the Wakirike student community.

The National Secretariat of the Wakirike Students Union (WASU) paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Johnwill Daka, Councillor representing Ward 7, Port Harcourt City Local Government Area.

During the visit, we briefed him on some of the programmes and initiatives the Union has successfully executed, as well as our plans for forthcoming activities geared towards the growth and development of Wakirike students. We also solicited his support towards the successful implementation of these programmes.

Speaking on behalf of the Union, the Vice President PHALGA, Comr. Happiness Standford reiterated our commitment to purposeful leadership, student development, and community impact.
Hon. Johnwill Daka expressed his delight at the impressive work being carried out by the Union and commended the leadership for its dedication and consistency in serving the interests of Wakirike students. The Wakirike Students Union (WASU) is pleased to announce the successful completion of Phase II of its School Visitation Programme in the Ogubolo axis, ending at Community Secondary School, Bolo.

During the outreach, students received lectures on study development, academic excellence, and career choice guidance. Certificate awards were also presented to outstanding students across all classes in recognition of their academic achievements.

As we prepare for the forthcoming WASU Youth Development Programme, we continue to call on the Wakirike Nation for both physical and financial support to help us sustain and expand these impactful initiatives for the benefit of our youths and communities.

In anticipation of the forthcoming WASU Youth Development Programme, the leadership of the Wakirike Students Union (WASU) has embarked on educational outreach visits to several secondary schools across the Wakirike Nation.

Todays visit to Pabod Senior and Junior secondary Quaters was impactful, lectures were delivered to students on educational advancement, academic excellence, personal development, and the importance of staying focused on their future aspirations. The sessions were interactive, inspiring, and aimed at encouraging students to embrace discipline, innovation, and hard work in their academic journey.

To further promote a culture of excellence and healthy academic competition, Academic Excellence Awards were presented to top performing students across each class levels in the respective schools visited.

WASU remains committed to youth empowerment, educational development, and building a brighter future for students within the Wakirike Nation as we continue preparations for the highly anticipated WASU Youth Development Programme.
