SUN-rise in the East

The sun hangs up in the firmament
Cooing the world awake by its light
But fading to night-time for the moon and stars.

Kilometres away but nearer to us
The sun’s twin rises like a fragile shoot
Destined to unfurl and cast its light around.

The one is a celestial orb
The other is Spiritan University Nneochi
Each a sun, each to its territory lays claim.

SUN is not the one in the sky
Not the keeper of day and night
That lends glow to the moon.

Briskly, as the sun rises in the east
With a tremor, SUN takes root in Umunneochi
Its glow cutting through nations and continents.

A place where minds are shaped
Silence teaches better than city noise
And ambition grows without haste.

It was not the dream I first imagined
Yet becoming more than I struggled for
A work in progress for every soul with purpose.

Modesty walks with discipline
Knowledge not bought but earned
On premiums of academics and character.

As the sun shines and transforms the world
So this SUN must shine
It’s always sunshine at SUN.

An Ode to Rev. Fr. Dr. Dr. Chinedu Nwadike, C.S.Sp.
(On the Occasion of His 23rd Priestly Anniversary)

His eyes shine like the morning star,
Radiating hope to all who behold them.
His face glows with the joy of Christ,
His appearance reflects simplicity and dignity.
Gentle in speech, humble in heart,
A true servant of God and humanity.

A unique man indeed,
One whose presence cannot be ignored.
Among God's finest creations,
He stands with grace, wisdom, and compassion.
Elegant in character,
Distinguished not only in appearance,
But even more in the beauty of his soul.

He walks among men, yet lives for God.
He shares in the ordinary things of life,
Yet his heart is set on extraordinary service.
He eats what others eat,
He does what others do,
But he loves more deeply,
Serves more faithfully,
And gives more generously.

A shepherd who never abandons his flock,
Always searching for his people,
Lifting the weak, comforting the sorrowful,
Encouraging the discouraged,
And leading many closer to Christ.
Your priesthood has become a blessing to countless lives,
And your sacrifices continue to bear lasting fruit.

Who is this he?
He is one among thousands,
Yet stands out among multitudes.
A priest by God's divine calling,
A father to many,
A mentor to the young,
A source of hope to the weary,
And a faithful labourer in the Lord's vineyard.
He is Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Dr. Chinedu Nwadike, C.S.Sp.

Dear Father,
As you celebrate 23 glorious years of priesthood, may the Lord who called you continue to uphold you with His unfailing grace. May He grant you renewed strength, divine wisdom, sound health, unending joy, and many more fruitful years in His service. May every life you have touched continue to testify to God's goodness, and may your reward be great both on earth and in heaven.
Happy 23rd Priestly Anniversary, Reverend Father.

May Christ, the Eternal High Priest, continue to make your ministry fruitful, your faith unwavering, and your life a shining light to the Church and the world. Congratulations, and God bless you abundantly!

Happy 23rd Priestly Ordination Anniversary to Our Extraordinary Director 🙏🎉.

Exactly 23 years ago, Rev. Fr. Dr. Chinedu Nwadike, CSSp., the Founder and Director of this prestigious club, EDTC, was ordained a Catholic priest. Today, as he marks his 23rd priestly ordination anniversary, we pray that God will continue to use him like an instrument to touch the lives of people in positive ways. Amen. May God answer his prayers for us that God may lead us and our families higher. Amen.

Today, we celebrate 23 remarkable years of your faithful service to God and humanity. Your unwavering commitment, inspiring leadership, and dedication to nurturing young minds through the Elites Debates and Talks Club have touched countless lives.
