The just-concluded Inter-House Sports Competition of God's Promise Schools took place on Friday, March 6, 2026 at AC Grammar School, Oka-Akoko, and it was a resounding success filled with excitement, school spirit, and outstanding displays of talent and sportsmanship.

‎The event kicked off in the afternoon with the beauty Pageant followed by Igbo Cultural Presentation and grand march past, where the four vibrant houses Pink House, Blue House, Green House, and Yellow House paraded onto the field in their colorful uniforms, accompanied by rhythmic drumming, cheers, and the Nigerian national anthem.

‎A diverse range of events showcased the athletic abilities of our students across different age groups:
‎
‎1. Track events: 100m, 200m, 400m sprints, and thrilling relay races that had everyone on their feet.
‎2. Field events: Long jump, high jump, shot put, and discus throws that demonstrated strength and precision.
‎3. Fun and novelty events: Sack races, egg-and-spoon races, and parent-student relays that brought laughter and family participation.
‎
‎After a full day of intense but joyful competition, the final results were announced amid cheers and drumrolls:
‎
‎• 1st Place: Yellow House with a commanding lead built on consistent performances across events.
‎• 2nd Place: Blue House strong showing in track and relays.
‎• 3rd Place: Green House impressive in field events.
‎• 4th Place: Pink House valiant effort and great sportsmanship.
‎
‎Special awards went to:
‎- Best Overall Athlete: Alonge Dolapo.
‎- Most Promising New Talent: Olatunde Daniel.
‎- Best Behaved House: Blue House.
‎
‎The Principal, teachers, and entire school management commended all participants for their hard work during weeks of training and preparation. Parents and guests were thanked for their unwavering support, which made the day even more memorable.

‎This year's Inter-House Sports Competition once again proved why such events are vital at God's Promise Schools they build character, foster unity, promote physical fitness, and create lifelong memories. We give thanks to God for a hitch-free event, free of injuries and full of blessings.
