Emphasizing the consequences of parents choosing careers for their children and students following friends blindly:
⚠️ Important Warning: Don’t Let Others Decide Your Future!
🚫 When Parents Choose Careers for Their Children
Some parents choose a career for their child because of what they want or wish they had become. While parents love you and want the best, forcing a career choice can lead to:
* Unhappiness and Regret – You may end up doing a job you don’t enjoy.
* Lack of Passion – You might not give your best because it’s not what you truly love.
* Mental Stress – Living someone else’s dream can cause anxiety, frustration, and poor performance.
👉 Advice: Respect your parents, but talk openly. Explain your interests and show them you're serious about your dreams.
🚫 When You Follow Your Friends Blindly
Choosing a career just because your best friend wants it can lead to:
* Getting Lost – You might enter a field you’re not good at or interested in.
* Failure and Frustration – Everyone has different strengths. What works for your friend may not work for you.
* Wasted Time – You may have to start over again later in life after realizing it’s not for you.
👉 Advice: Your friend’s dream is not your dream. Choose your path based on your own talents and interests.
✅ Be Wise, Be You!
“The best career for you is the one that matches your strength, interest, and passion – not your friend’s or your parents’ dream.”

KEEP YOUR CIRCLE SMALL
A Short Valuable Story
A young girl asked an elderly woman:
"Do I really need friends in life?"
The elderly woman responded:
"Yes. Life is truly very rough. There should be someone by your side with whom you can talk for hours without feeling that they would judge you; on whose shoulders you can cry, one who will give you emotional support. When no one will be there for you, they should be there. One who should help you share the good times and overcome the difficult ones."
The young girl asked:
"Is it true that a fake friend is more dangerous than an enemy?"
The elderly woman responded:
"Yes. It's because you know who your enemy is and you're not going to let them get close to you. But a false friend is pretending while getting your trust. They find out your vulnerabilities, your secrets and your dreams. They know which button to press and how to stab you in the back."
The young girl asked:
"How do I avoid being surrounded by fake friends?"
The elderly woman paused for a short moment, then asked,
"Between a small garden and a forest, which one has more snakes and scorpions?"
The young girl responded:
"The forest, sure!"
The elderly woman smiled, and then said:
"Good! When you keep your circle of friends small like a small garden, the less snakes and scorpions you have to worry about, even rats. The fewer people you hang out with, the fewer problems you have to deal with. When I was young, I had a very big group of friends. But as I grew old and wise with experience, my circle of friends became smaller. I realised that quality outweighs quantity when it comes to friendship. Don’t fool yourself by holding onto the illusion that everyone is your friend. You may have numerous acquaintances, but real friends will always be just a few people you love and trust. The best way to prevent yourself from falling into the fake friend trap is by being more mindful about the size of your circle."

Find a Place to Shape Your Thoughts
Rarely do ideas come fully formed and completely worked out. Most of the time, they need to be shapeduntil they have substance. As my friend Emako says, they have to “stand the test of clarity and
questioning.” During the shaping time, you want to hold an idea up to strong scrutiny. Many times a thought thatseemed outstanding late at night looks pretty silly in the light of day. Ask questions about your ideas. Fine tunethem. One of the best ways to do that is to put your thoughts in writing. Professor, college president, and U.S.senator S. I. Hayakawa wrote, “Learning to write is learning to think. You don’t know anything clearly unless youcan state it in writing.” As you shape your thoughts, you find out whether an idea has potential. You learn what you have. You alsolearn some things about yourself. The shaping time thrills me because it embodies:
Humor: The thoughts that don’t work often provide comic relief.
Humility: The moments when I connect with God awe me.
Excitement: I love to play out an idea mentally. (I call it “futuring” it.)
Creativity: In these moments I am unhampered by reality.
Fulfillment: God made me for this process; it uses my greatest gifts and gives me joy.
Honesty: As I turn over an idea in my mind, I discover my true motives.
Passion: When you shape a thought, you find out what you believe and what really counts.
Change: Most of the changes I have made in my life resulted from thorough thinking on a subject.
You can shape your thoughts almost anywhere. Just find a place that works for you, where you will be able towrite things down, focus your attention without interruptions, and ask questions about your ideas.

WILL PEOPLE SAY THIS ABOUT YOUR LIFE?
"HE DID NOTHING IN PARTICULAR, AND HE DID IT VERY WELL?"
LIFE'S MISSION
Myles Monroe said, "There is something for you to start is destined for you to finish." The purpose of life is to have a life of purpose.
John Foster said, "It is a poor disgraceful thing not to be able to reply, with some degree of certainty, to the simple questions, 'What will you be? What will you do?" You're not truly free until you've been made captive by your mission in life.
A man without principle never draws much interest. William Cowper said, "The only true happiness comes from squandering ourselves for a purpose." Note proverbs when it says, "whatever your plan is, just know that nothing else will satisfy you."
The average person's life consist of 20years of having their parents ask where he or she is going, 40 years of having a spouse ask the same question and at the end, the mourners wondering the same thing. Martin Luther king, Jr said, "If a man hasn't discovered something that he will die for, he isn't fit to live." You can predict your future by the awareness you have of your unique purpose.
Abandon yourself to destiny.

There are four core types of friendship: acquaintance, friend, close friend and best friend. "The level of friendship deepens as the level of reciprocity and mutual respect and affection grow," she explains.
Acquaintances are easy enough to categorize. They're the people who aren't complete strangers, who you run into regularly at a place like the banks or work cafeteria, but you don't really know. "They are people we know well enough to make small talk with on a regular basis, but not really people we'd invite to a dinner party or call on if we needed assistance.
"friends" are those that we try to run into or mix with. "The Lady that you share material things with for a specific purpose Or people that are your 'crowd' and the ones that you tend to socialize with on a regular basis.
These buddies are certainly valuable, but when the going gets rough you're more likely to reach out to a "close friend" for help or support. They're also the people you trade secrets with. There's not just a strong level of trust between these friends, there's also a whole lot of unconditional regard and affinity. You may not like a close friend's choices, but you'd defend him/her right to make them."
Lastly, Best friends are the rarest type of friend and the kind of friend that we all need to have in our lives. It's the friend who gets you without you having to explain yourself. It's the type of friend who loves you no matter what," Degges-White says. And they're not necessarily people you talk to every day. "You might go weeks or months without connecting, but when you do re-connect, it's as if no time has passed at all. These friendships are different in their ability to flex and endure even if life temporarily gets in the way. These are 'heart-to-heart' or 'soul friends' and they can give you comfort even if you're out of touch with this friend.

Your mind and body are a source of confidence not anxiety. So take a breath and be proud of the person you are.
Success, I believe, comes to the one who dares, even after failure, to think positively and look forward confidently.
Faith is that quality that enables us to believe what we know to be untrue.
If you Believe, it will Happen.
