MCPT 2025 AT LAGOS WAS MORE THAN JUST AN ANNUAL EVENT

It was a moment filled with in-depth learning, new insight, and unprecedented upskilling. The School Principal who also doubles as the Secretary General of Oyo State ANCOPSS, Mr. Omololu Dele Fleming, was in attendance at THE SOUTH-WEST ANCOPSS 2025 MANDATORY CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL TRAINING (MCPT) hosted by Lagos State this week.

Professional training is of premium essence to every value-driven institution. School leaders, teachers and other education officers should be equipped with requisite skill needed to thrive in this digital era.

Speaking at the event, the guest lecturer, Dr. Lara Ogunsola, who spoke on INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERSHIP IN THE DIGITAL ASSESSMENT ERA, expounded that "Instructional leadership in the digital assessment era refers to the role of school and system leaders in guiding, supporting, and managing teaching and learning to effectively leverage digital tools and data from digital assessments to improve student outcomes. It is an evolution of traditional instructional leadership, with a strong emphasis on technology integration and data-driven decision-making"

As Principals, Instructional Leaders and Leaders of leaders, you are the Change Agent at the Centre of education in this Era of Digital Assessment.

Without mincing words, MCPT Program was a moment of self-reflection, evaluation and re-evaluation, assessment and re-assessment.

The program ended on this reflective note - What one major change should I make to ensure that digital assessment becomes a reality in the Nigerian Secondary Education System?
