Day 1 of 30: Sharing my journey as a Data Analyst
I didn’t start data analytics because it was “trendy.”
I started because I was tired of making decisions based on guesswork.
I wanted to understand why things were happening, not just what was happening.
At first, data felt overwhelming — spreadsheets, charts, numbers everywhere.
But over time, I realized something important:
👉 Data analytics isn’t about numbers.
👉 It’s about solving problems and telling clear stories.
Today, I’m still learning, still improving, and still making mistakes — but every project teaches me something new.
For the next 30 days, I’ll be sharing my real experiences as a data analyst:
the wins, the challenges, the lessons, and the growth.
If you’re learning data analytics or thinking of starting, this series is for you.
📊 Day 1/30
Why did you choose data analytics?

Fun fact about me 👀
I’m deeply curious—I don’t just like learning new things, I love understanding how and why they work.
That curiosity is what pulled me into data and tech, and it’s also what keeps me growing daily. If there’s a problem, I’ll probably try to break it down, analyze it, and find a smarter way to solve it 😄
Curiosity fuels my journey—and I’m embracing it fully.
✨ What’s one fun fact about you?

I started this journey because I realized that growth doesn’t happen by chance—it happens by intention.
I wanted more than just skills; I wanted clarity, impact, and purpose. Stepping into tech and data gave me the opportunity to solve problems, tell meaningful stories with numbers, and continuously challenge myself to become better than yesterday.
This page was created to document my learning, share honest experiences, and inspire someone who’s just starting or feeling unsure. If my journey helps even one person take a step forward, then it’s worth it.
We all start somewhere—and this is mine.
✨ Stay connected. The journey continues.

Why I Learned Data Analytics
I learned data analytics because I wanted to make better decisions—decisions backed by facts, not assumptions. In a world where data drives strategy and growth, I realized that understanding data is a powerful skill that cuts across every industry.
Learning data analytics has helped me turn raw, messy data into meaningful insights, ask the right questions, and solve problems more objectively. It has strengthened my analytical thinking and improved how I approach business, public service, and organizational challenges.
More than a technical skill, data analytics has become a mindset for me—one focused on clarity, impact, and continuous improvement.

A little behind-the-scenes of my learning routine
People often ask how I stay consistent while learning tech and working on different projects.
The truth is, my routine isn’t perfect — but it’s intentional.
Here’s what my typical learning setup looks like:
1️⃣ A simple workspace
Nothing fancy. Just a clean table, my laptop, a notebook, and sometimes a cup of tea.
Clutter-free space = clutter-free mind.
2️⃣ A focused study block
I usually dedicate 30–60 minutes to learning a specific skill:
Excel, SQL, Power BI, or project management concepts.
Small, focused sessions work better than long, scattered ones.
3️⃣ Notes and repetition
I write things down.
Not because I’ll forget — but because writing helps me understand better.
4️⃣ Practice over perfection
I don’t wait to “feel ready” before trying something new.
I open a dataset, experiment, break things, fix them, and learn in the process.
5️⃣ Ending with a mini-review
At the end of each session, I ask myself:
“What did I learn today — even if it was small?”
This routine keeps me grounded, consistent, and always improving.
Your learning journey doesn’t need to be complicated or aesthetic.
It just needs to be yours — simple, steady, and intentional.

A free resource that helped me improve my data skills
On my analytics journey, one thing that has helped me grow faster is finding practical, beginner-friendly resources — especially for tools like Excel, SQL, and Power BI.
Today, I want to share one resource that has been extremely helpful:
👉 Kaggle — Free datasets + hands-on practice
If you’re trying to improve your data analytics skills, Kaggle is one of the best places to start.
Here’s why I love it:
✔ Thousands of real-world datasets
✔ Free notebooks to practice coding and analysis
✔ Beginner-friendly exercises
✔ Challenges to test yourself
✔ A community that shares insights and solutions
✔ No paid subscription required
For anyone learning analytics, this is the perfect place to build confidence.
My tip:
Pick one dataset, explore it, clean it, analyze it, and create a simple visualization.
One small project is better than 10 hours of tutorials.
