*REPORT ON THE MAIDEN EDITION OF THE CHRISTMAS CAROL PROGRAMME*
*AT GREAT ABOKE MEMORIAL MODEL COLLEGE.*
The maiden edition of the Christmas Carol Programme of Great Aboke Memorial Model College was held on Wednesday, 10th December, 2025 at exactly 10:00 a.m. in the school’s multipurpose hall. The event was colourful, inspiring, and well-coordinated, bringing together students, teachers, parents, and invited guests to celebrate the joy of the Christmas season.
The programme commenced with an opening prayer led by *Miss Wumi Ajani* . This was followed by a warm welcome address from the Principal, Mr. *Akintunde Yinka*, who appreciated all attendees for honouring the maiden edition of the Christmas Carol. He encouraged students to embrace the values of love, peace, discipline, and kindness during the festive period.
The musical session began with the school choir presenting a beautiful rendition of “In Christ Alone.” Various classes also rendered spirit-lifting songs, including:
1. “Jesu” by Dunsin Oyekan
2. “Fragrance of My Worship”
Each performance was graceful, well-coordinated, and uplifting.
The nursery and primary school pupils delighted the audience with a colourful cultural dance, showcasing cultural creativity and festive joy. The secondary school drama group also entertained the audience with an inspiring drama titled “ *The Great Name, Jesus.”* The drama emphasised the power in the name of Jesus and the importance of love, forgiveness, and unity.
A Bible reading session followed, with selected students reading passages that reflected the story of the birth of Jesus Christ. The school’s cultural troupe added more excitement with a special Christmas dance that received loud applause from the audience.
