*REPORT ON THE MAIDEN EDITION OF THE CHRISTMAS CAROL PROGRAMME*

*AT GREAT ABOKE MEMORIAL MODEL COLLEGE.*

The maiden edition of the Christmas Carol Programme of Great Aboke Memorial Model College was held on Wednesday, 10th December, 2025 at exactly 10:00 a.m. in the school’s multipurpose hall. The event was colourful, inspiring, and well-coordinated, bringing together students, teachers, parents, and invited guests to celebrate the joy of the Christmas season.

The programme commenced with an opening prayer led by *Miss Wumi Ajani* . This was followed by a warm welcome address from the Principal, Mr. *Akintunde Yinka*, who appreciated all attendees for honouring the maiden edition of the Christmas Carol. He encouraged students to embrace the values of love, peace, discipline, and kindness during the festive period.

The musical session began with the school choir presenting a beautiful rendition of “In Christ Alone.” Various classes also rendered spirit-lifting songs, including:

1. “Jesu” by Dunsin Oyekan

2. “Fragrance of My Worship”

Each performance was graceful, well-coordinated, and uplifting.

The nursery and primary school pupils delighted the audience with a colourful cultural dance, showcasing cultural creativity and festive joy. The secondary school drama group also entertained the audience with an inspiring drama titled “ *The Great Name, Jesus.”* The drama emphasised the power in the name of Jesus and the importance of love, forgiveness, and unity.

A Bible reading session followed, with selected students reading passages that reflected the story of the birth of Jesus Christ. The school’s cultural troupe added more excitement with a special Christmas dance that received loud applause from the audience.

REPORT ON THE MAIDEN EDITION OF THE COOKING COMPETITION
Great Aboke Memorial Model College – October 29, 2025

The Home Economics Department of Great Aboke Memorial Model College successfully organized the maiden edition of its Cooking Competition on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the school hall. The event was aimed at promoting creativity, teamwork, and practical culinary skills among students.

Students from various classes participated with great enthusiasm, preparing a wide variety of dishes that reflected both local and continental cuisines. The contestants were graded based on taste, presentation, creativity, cleanliness, time management, and nutritional value.

At the end of the keenly contested event, S. S. S. 3 contestants came first from the senior section, while J. S. S. 3 contestants came first from the Junior category.

The Principal, Mr Y. O. Akintunde, commended the facilitator, Mr Ande David Babajide and the participants for their impressive performance and encouraged other students to develop practical life skills beyond the classroom. He also appreciated the judges and teachers who contributed to the success of the programme.

The competition ended with photographs, cheers, and a renewed excitement for next year’s edition.
