Do you know what a startup is?

Most people don't. It is a mindset.

It's not a business. It's not buying and selling.

It's like incubating an egg. The startup is transforming an idea to make it market ready.

It takes 21 days for a hen to hatch an egg; it will take us 90 days of dedicated and committed work to transform your idea into a startup.

Everyone has an idea. It's cheap. But only few turn it into viable enterprise.

In the 90 days, you will get your enterprise to be:
1. Desirable
2. Feasible
3. Viable

Then get you funding to:
1. Scale
2. Attain sustainability

Through our network in Africa and around the world we can help you get into markets in other nations.

This is for undergraduates, workers, teachers, entrepreneurs and women. If you want to make a difference, then get in.

Teachers who inspire us to think more, dream more, achieve more, stretch more and become more are leaders and should be celebrated and honored

The ability to deliver results is one ability that industry needs. This is something that schools need to teach. That is why the best way is project-based learning.

In most learning methods students are docile and not expected to do much. However, that is different when it comes to project based learning, they are active and they take initiative.

Students should learn to set and achieve goals. That should be part and parcel of education.

AI and Robots are rising.
Students can't beat robots in memorization.
If we continue teaching students what they are being taught, we will have a future where robots are more intelligent than people.

Everything an AI or robot does is programmed into it. And it does it with precision. Human factor can affect results but not with robots or AI.

It's important we start teaching students what robots can never learn: these are the 21st century skills.

These skills include creativity, collaboration, empathy, analytical thinking, making connections and associations, building relationships and creating value.,

There is a difference between how our education is structured in Africa and the way it is in the Western world.

Our school system doesn't train us to be better and be able to create an develop our nation. We are focused on getting certificates to get a job. We should be focused on developing our mind and skills.

Students respect their teachers more than they do their parents. Students fear their parents but respect their teachers. That is why teachers are more influential in a child's life than the parents

Students will tell their parents that is not how our teacher taught us even if the parent has PhD in that field.

In my junior year in secondary school, I sat in class learning about agriculture and biology. I heard about photosynthesis for the first. And all I need to do is memorize the definition and I will pass the exams.

I don't know what moved me, but I went back home and created a garden at home. I wanted to experiment with what I was being taught in school. I was just 11 when I did that.

While others memorized what we were being taught in the class, I learned. Later on, I came to learn that the human brain wasn't created as a store of facts or for memorization but for creating, planning, and reasoning.

When I was teaching Physics and Chemistry, I tried to use real-world scenarios to allow students to experiment. My goal wasn't for them to memorize facts but to understand them so they can manipulate the principles of science to create something useful.

If students are learning a quarter of what we teach them in school, schools would have been a weapon to end poverty in the world. Education should be empowering and equipping. Students should develop skills that will serve as a foundation for the life they want to live.

Right now, most secondary schools hardly intentionally equip students with the foundational skills that will serve them in the world outside. We must focus on learning not memorization.

An educational system that doesn't make you a producer, creator and indicator isn't a good one.

School may make you a consumer but education makes you a producer.

To move from consumption to production we must change what we teach in school.

One thing that is missing in most schools is education.

Make sure that as you go through school, you also get educated.

My dad always says that education isn't what you get within the four walls of the classroom. It's about life.

As a student, I was curious. I tried to change a rule and was punished for it. While school programs us to maintain the status quo, education enables us to seek to change things.

Anyone who fails in school is mocked and laughed at. We think they will never amount to anything in life.

Life, itself, is the cumulation of the mistakes and failures we make. To succeed in life, we have to increase the rate of our failures.

Embracing mistakes and failures as a way of life is important and necessary in education. You don't dare take risks in school.

We need to bring education back into the school system. That way we will raise a generation of change makers who will build a better world.

Those who created the present school system didn't have the information we now have. Their society was very different from our society.

Yet we stick to what they have created. Our lives and destiny are being controlled by people who know nothing about our present world.

We can change it.
We can influence it
We can build a school system that meets present-day needs.

In most African countries, the government fund education with the hope that there will be skilled manpower to grow the economy.

However, the school system isn't designed to produce skilled workers. The system produces people who are theoretical and unable to apply what they learn.

More investment into such a system will not change the results. It's madness to continue the same activities and expect a different result.

If it's not producing the results we expect, we can change it. We need to build a school system that is flexible and dynamic and constantly evolves to create a new society.
