FG Approved #77,000 NYSC Allowance, Payment Begins This Month.
The Federal Government has officially approved the long-awaited increment of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) allowance to ₦77,000, with payments set to begin this March 2025.

FG ALLOCATES #430.7 BILLION TO NYSC AS ALLOWANCE TAKES EFFECT.
The NYSC plans to spend N307.6 billion on corps members' allowances following a raise from N33,000 to N77,000 monthly
Despite a N430.7 billion budget allocation for 2025, the new allowance rate remains unimplemented five months after its announcement
The NYSC cites delayed cash backing as the reason, with payments expected to begin in 2025
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is projected to spend approximately N307.6 billion on the mobilization and payment of allowances to corps members in 2025, following a significant increase in monthly stipends.
The allowance, which was raised from N33,000 to N77,000 per month, was announced by the NYSC in September 2024, in alignment with the new minimum wage bill signed into law in May of the same year.
This adjustment marks a substantial financial commitment for the federal government, as the NYSC mobilizes an average of 333,000 corps members annually across three batches—A, B, and C.
Each batch comprises roughly 55,500 participants, with the total allowance for a single batch amounting to N25.64 billion. Over the course of a year, this figure escalates to N307.6 billion, representing a significant portion of the NYSC’s budget.
In the 2025 budget proposal presented to the National Assembly by President Bola Tinubu in December 2024, the NYSC was allocated N430.7 billion, the highest in the past five years.

Emergency Rule: NASS To Propose Peace Settlement,
Power Sharing Formula,
Reduction to 3 months
March 20, 2025
Information reaching us from competent sources indicate a settlement has been reached over the new crisis caused by the sudden knee jerk declaration of a state of emergency by the President of the federal republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu – where he announced the removal of the democratically elected Governor of Rivers State and the removal of entire members of the State assembly – while replacing them with a sole administrator that will work under the sole oversight of the federal executive/presidency.
According to the information, the settlement deal is designed to be a win-win situation for both the President, the governor of Rivers State and his godfather.
The Governor will be returned to power after three months, Wike will get to some power sharing and resources.
The President, Tinubu will get to “save face” from the backlash over his declaration.
On the first level, the length of stay proscribed for the sole administrator will be reviewed downwards to 3months from 6months.
On the second level, the power of oversight which the President took away from the national legislature will be returned to the national assembly.
A select team comprising of members of the Senate and House of Representatives will perform the oversight function to the sole administrator for the duration of the 3months.
On the third level, within the 3months a team of National Legislatures comprising of Senators and House of Representatives will be set up and tasked with reaching a peace settlement between the FCT minister, Nyesom Wike and Gov Sim Fubara.
According to information available to 247ureports.com, the peace agreement between Fubara and Wike would allow for sharing of power and resources between the godfather and the Governor.
Wike will get to control some of the LGAs along with government political appointments.

ATIKU CONFIRMS OPPOSITION COALITION TO OUST TINUBU IN 2027 ELECTION.
Former Vice President and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general election, Atiku Abubakar, has confirmed the formation of a coalition aimed at challenging the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 election cycle.
Atiku made the revelation during a press conference held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at the Shehu Musa Yar’adua Centre in Abuja.
The event, which brought together concerned leaders and political stakeholders in Nigeria, was convened to address the controversial declaration of a State of Emergency in Rivers State by President Bola Tinubu a couple of days ago.
When asked whether the emerging coalition would serve as the major opposition against the APC in the upcoming elections, Atiku responded affirmatively, saying, “Yes.”
His confirmation signalled a significant political realignment as opposition forces strategised to challenge the APC’s dominance in the next election cycle. While details of the coalition remained unclear, the move suggested intensified efforts by opposition leaders to present a united front against the ruling party.
The press conference also saw Atiku and other stakeholders condemning the State of Emergency imposed on Rivers State, calling it an unconstitutional act aimed at undermining democracy in Nigeria.
