A parent once told me, βMy child hates maths.β
Not βstruggles with maths.β
Not βneeds a little help.β
But hates it.
After 3 lessons, the same parent was shocked.
Why?
Because the child who used to avoid maths started attempting questions with confidence.
The child who used to say, βI canβt do it,β started saying, βLet me try.β
The child who once feared numbers began to understand them step by step.
Sometimes, children donβt hate maths.
They hate feeling confused.
They hate feeling left behind.
They hate being made to feel like they are not smart.
With the right teaching approach, patience, encouragement, and simple explanations, a childβs confidence can begin to change.
If your child struggles with maths, donβt wait until the gap becomes wider.
Send me a message today and letβs help your child build confidence in maths, one lesson at a time.

π¨ Most parents help their child with maths this way...
But it may actually be making things harder.
When children get stuck, many parents quickly show them the answer.
It seems helpful.
It saves time.
It stops frustration.
But there's one problem...
Children often learn *what* the answer is without understanding *how* to get it.
And that's why the same mistakes keep happening again and again.
Recently, I worked with a pupil who struggled with maths for months.
The surprising part?
The issue wasn't the maths.
It was the way they had been helped.
Once we changed the approach, their confidence started growing and maths became much less stressful.

β This Year 3 pupil kept getting maths questions wrong...
His parents thought he needed more practice.
His teacher thought he wasn't paying attention.
But when I worked with him, I discovered ONE tiny mistake that nobody had noticed.
It wasn't because he couldn't do maths.
It wasn't because he wasn't trying.
In fact, once we fixed that one small issue, his confidence grew, and he started solving questions much more easily.
Many children who struggle with maths don't actually have a maths problem.
They have a hidden learning gap.
The question is...
π Does your child have one too?
