Dear Diamondville Parents,

We are delighted to share with you the recent catering craft practical done today by our SS1 and SS2 students! Our students showcased their culinary skills by preparing a variety of dishes:

- SS1 students prepared Tapioca and Moi Moi, traditional Nigerian dishes that highlight the importance of cultural heritage and traditional cuisine.

- SS2 students prepared Chinese Rice with Chinese Curry Sauce, Cantonese Spring Rolls, and Carrot Cupcakes, showcasing their understanding of international cuisine and its significance in today's globalized world.

This practical lesson aimed to:

- Develop culinary skills and techniques
- Explore cultural heritage and diversity through food
- Understand the importance of nutrition and healthy eating
- Foster teamwork and collaboration

The dishes prepared offer numerous health benefits:

- Tapioca is gluten-free and rich in fiber and iron
- Moi Moi is a great source of plant-based protein and fiber
- Chinese Rice is a good source of carbohydrates and fiber
- Chinese Curry Sauce contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties
- Cantonese Spring Rolls are a great snack option, low in calories and rich in vegetables
- Carrot Cupcakes are a healthier dessert option, rich in fiber and vitamins

We are proud of our students' hard work and dedication to learning. Thank you for your continued support.

Best regards,
Diamondville Comprehensive School

"Dear Diamondville Parents,

We are excited to share with you the recent catering craft practical done by our JSS1 students! They successfully prepared cucumber sauce and white rice, demonstrating their culinary skills and teamwork.

But why cucumber sauce, you might ask? Cucumber is a nutrient-rich vegetable that offers numerous health benefits, making it an excellent addition to our students' culinary repertoire. Cucumber sauce is:

- Hydrating: Cucumbers are made up of 96% water, making them an excellent source of hydration.
- Anti-inflammatory: Cucumbers contain antioxidants that help reduce inflammation and improve overall health.
- Digestive-friendly: Cucumbers contain fiber and water, making them a great aid for digestion.
- Low in calories: Cucumbers are extremely low in calories, making them a great addition to a healthy diet.

By preparing cucumber sauce, our students learned about the importance of incorporating healthy ingredients into their cooking. We are proud of their hard work and dedication to learning.

Thank you for your continued support.

Best regards,
Diamondville Comprehensive School"
