🔥🔥*_JAMB resumes 2023 Direct Entry Registration🍬_*

👉🏻JAMB has announced the resumption of the 2023 Direct Entry registration nationwide. This was disclosed by JAMB boss Professor Is-haq Oloyede at a press briefing on Monday in Abuja. According to him, the Direct Entry registration will end on April 28th, 2023.

➡️He said, “You will recall that the board commenced the 2023 Direct Entry registration on Monday, 20th February, 2023, but had to immediately suspend it following the discovery of the plethora of devices and machinations to circumvent and compromise the standard of A’ Level qualifications required from DE candidates.

👉🏻Speaking further, Oloyede said the Board would only accept 13 qualifications/certificates for the 2023 Direct Entry registration, which include; first degree, university diploma, Higher National Diploma, Ordinary National Diploma /National Diploma and Nigeria Certificate in Education.

➡️Others are Interim Joint Matriculation Board A’ Level, Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board A’ Level, NABTEB Advanced National Business Certificate, NABTEB Advanced National Technical Certificate, NABTEB GCE-A’ Level (2015 – 2021), Higher Islamic Studies Certificate by NBAIS, International Baccalaureate and the National Registered Nurse /National Registered Midwife.

👉🏻He also stated that the 127 candidates who had earlier registered for the 2023 DE before the exercise was suspended would be requested to return to the registration centres and update their application.

➡️The JAMB boss also revealed that the data bank put in place to address challenges associated with the A’ Level qualifications had now been renamed as ‘Nigeria Post-secondary Education Data System’.

JAMB FIXES DATES FOR 2023 MAJOR ACTIVITIES

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board(JAMB) has, at the end of its management meeting held on Tuesday, 20th December, 2022, rolled out some major dates for its activities in 2023.

Consequently, the Board has approved the commencement of registration for the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) from Saturday, 14th January to Tuesday, 14th February, 2023.

This, however, does not include registration for Direct Entry (DE) application documents as the DE registration would commence from Monday, 20th February to Thursday, 20th April, 2022.

The Board also fixed Thursday, 16th March, 2023, for the conduct of its optional mock-UTME.

Candidates are to note that they would be required to pay the sum of N1000 service charge for CBT centres for the conduct of mock examination at the point of registration so as to prevent a situation where candidates would indicate their interest to sit the mock-UTME leading the various centres to commit human and material resources only for them to stay away on the day of the examination.

With the new arrangement, candidates indicate their interest by paying for the mock at the point of UTME registration, therefore, precluding the centres from incurring any loss whether candidates turn up or not.

Also, the Board, after considering its other commitments, fixed Saturday, 29th April, 2023, for the conduct of the 2023 UTME, which is expected to end on Monday, 12th May, 2023.

The Board advises all candidates, who desire to register for the 2023 UTME to immediately embark on the creation of their respective profiles ( creation of profile code) ahead of the formal commencement of the registration exercise to avoid being caught up in any ensuing bottleneck.

Before you can access your CAPs, You must have linked your valid email address to your jamb at CBT center. A confirmation message will be sent to your email, this message includes your jamb email and password.

JAMB discloses additional guidelines ahead of 2023 UTME
JAMB has disclosed new guidelines it has put in place to ensure a seamless conduct of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). This was disclosed in its Weekly Bulletin of the Office of the Registrar on Monday in Abuja.
The new guidelines, includes the introduction of double fingerprints, exemption candidates, and others. Each of them has been exlained below;
Double fingerprint

As a requirement for printing registration slips, candidates must now use at least two fingers and any of the two fingers taken would be used for biometric verification before entering the examination hall on the day of the examination.
The two verifiable fingers of all candidates must be consecutively indicated on the candidates’ registration and examination slips.
Centre prohibition

Oloyede said that no CBT centre would be allowed to collaborate with cybercafes and tutorial centres that had been prohibited, adding that any violation of the directive, whether in part or whole, would lead to the revocation of the licence of the erring CBT centre.
CBT centre accreditation

No new Computer-Based Test centre would be accredited without meeting the new requirements. To this end, new CBT centres must use laptop computer systems as clients, zero thin-clients or Remote Desktop Protocol would no longer be accepted. No CBT centre must install any clients with less than 2 gigabyte RAM.
It is now mandatory that the Autobot system should be used for the accreditation of CBT centres; there should be three Autobot tests: Pre-accreditation during Mock – UTME and the dummy examination.
Biometrics accreditation

The registrar also said that biometrics of all accredited CBT centre registration officers would be captured ahead of the exercise.
This, he explained, was because the board as a proactive agency must move with the tide to stay ahead of the machinations of cheats and safeguard the integrity of the system.
Exemption Candidates

At the registration point, candidates with bad fingerprints would be scheduled for the examination as ‘Exemption Candidates’.
Their registration slips would be colour-coded and visually different from those for other candidates.
Such candidates would sit their examination in Abuja on the last date of the national examination calendar and their results would not be released until after being subjected to proper scrutiny.
