"Phonics is the key to reading success"

Phonics is a method of teaching children how to read by connecting sounds (phonemes) with letters or groups of letters (graphemes). This quote means that when children understand the relationship between letters and sounds, they can decode words easily. This ability gives them confidence and accuracy in reading.

Phonics lays the foundation for strong reading skills. When taught properly, it helps children sound out new words, spell correctly, and become fluent readers. So, phonics acts like a key that unlocks the door to reading success.

*Subject*: The part of the sentence that tells *who* or *what* the sentence is about.

*Object*: The part of the sentence that receives the action of the verb.

*Example*:
*The boy* (subject) *kicked* (verb) *the ball* (object).

*“Am” vs “I’m”*

*1. "Am"*
- *"Am"* is a *helping verb* (a form of the verb *"to be"*)
- It is used *only with "I"*. (Please, take note of it is used with *I*, meaning that it is wrong to use it alone) 👌🏼

- Example:
✨ Wrong: "Am happy." ❌
✨ Correct: "I *am* happy." ✅

*2. "I'm"*
- *"I'm"* is the *short form (contraction)* of *"I am"*
- It’s used in *informal or spoken English*
- Example:
"I'm tired." = "I am tired." ✅
"I'm going to school." = "I am going to school." ✅

*Main Difference*
- *"Am"* needs *"I"* before it.
- *"I'm"* already includes *"I"*, so you don’t need to say "I" again.

*Meaning*
Both mean the same—talking about yourself in the present but makesure you use *I* with *am*, don't use *am* alone.
