The Steadfast Love of the Lord Never Ceases
Text: Lamentations 3:22–23
Before we sing "The Steadfast Love of the Lord Never Ceases," let us reflect on the powerful truth behind these words.
Life is full of uncertainties. There are seasons when we experience disappointment, pain, failure, or loss. People may change, promises may be broken, and circumstances may become difficult. But one thing remains constant—the steadfast love of the Lord.
Jeremiah wrote these words in the middle of great suffering. Jerusalem had been destroyed, yet he found hope because he remembered God's unfailing love. This teaches us that our hope is not based on our situation but on God's unchanging character.
The song reminds us that God's mercies never come to an end. Every morning is evidence of His faithfulness. If you woke up today, it is because God has shown you mercy again. His love has sustained you through every trial, even when you were unaware of it.
As we sing, let us not sing out of routine. Let every word become a declaration of faith and thanksgiving. Whether you are celebrating or struggling, remember that God's love has not failed you, His compassion has not run out, and His faithfulness remains as certain as the sunrise.
So, let us lift our voices with gratitude, knowing that the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning. Great is His faithfulness! Amen.
