Debonair King's International School, Makurdi, Benue State, extends its heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Ikechukwu Iyioke for his generous scholarship award to one of our students. His kindness exemplifies the spirit of compassion and community, inspiring us all.

We pray that God richly blesses Mr. Iyioke and his lovely wife, granting them wisdom, peace, and prosperity. May their act of kindness be a testament to their faith, as scripture reminds us, "Give, and it will be given to you. As we wake up to this new day, I thank you for the gift of life and the opportunities it brings. Guide us with your wisdom, strengthen us with your might, and fill our heart with your love. Help us to walk in your ways and make choices that honor you oh Lord. Grant us peace, joy, and clarity of mind. May your will be done in every aspect of our life.

I've observed that many learners struggle to differentiate between 'where' and 'were'. Upon receiving messages, I've noticed that these two words are often confused due to their similar pronunciation. I'm here to provide clarification and break it down for better understanding."

Today, let's talk about when to use 👉where and were👈

Where" is used to ask or tell about a place or location.

1. Where are you going?" (asking about a destination)
2. "This is where I grew up." (telling about a specific location)
3. "Where did you find that book?" (asking about the location of something)
4. "I love visiting places where I can relax." (referring to a general location or type of place)

👉👉Were👈👉
"Were" is the past tense of the verb "to be" (e.g., "are" becomes "were" in the past tense).

1. You were late for the meeting." (past tense of "are")
2. They were happy when they heard the news." (past tense of "are")
3. Where you at the meeting yesterday? ( Past tense question )
4. "We were studying all night for the exam." (past tense of "are")
