YEIDEP Launches $2.5 Billion Global Fundraising Campaign to Empower Nigerian Youth and Women
The Nigerian Federal Government and Youth Off The Street Initiative (YOTSI) have launched a fundraising campaign to raise $2.5 billion for a youth farming and entrepreneurship program called CYFAEP, which is part of a larger national effort called YEIDEP (Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalisation Programme).
Key Points:
1. YEIDEP aims to solve big problems in Nigeria like youth unemployment, poverty, food insecurity, and radicalisation.
2. Over 6 million youths are already registered, and the goal is to reach 20 million young farmers and entrepreneurs by 2027.
3. The program will help youths with money, training, mentorship, and other support, especially in agriculture and related sectors.
4. YEIDEP is working with eight commercial banks Keystone Bank, Fidelity Bank, Lotus Bank, Union Bank, Wema Bank, Zenith Bank, Guaranty Trust Bank, and Providus Bank which will warehouse, manage, and disburse funds for programme implementation.
5. The success of the project depends on support from international donors, Nigerian governments, businesses, and individuals.
6. The program is seen as urgent because of the growing risks of youth joblessness and national instability if nothing is done.
In short, YEIDEP is a major plan to empower young Nigerians, create jobs, grow the economy, and prevent future crises.

Hi everyone! I’m WANGER CELESTINE KPOJIME (FE/23/5661134), a 3MTT student specializing in advanced data analysis and visualization. Today, I want to introduce you to my project: Data Skills Academy!
In today’s world, data is everywhere, yet many individuals and organizations struggle to harness its potential due to a lack of knowledge and skills in technology and data visualization.
The problem? Many people miss out on insights that could drive decisions, boost efficiency, and enhance creativity. They feel overwhelmed by data, unsure of how to analyze or visualize it effectively.
That’s where Data Skills Academy comes in! My goal is to empower individuals with the skills they need to confidently analyze and visualize data.
Here’s how the academy will work:
