Today, Window on America Makurdi had the honor of hosting a delegation from the U.S. Embassy Public Diplomacy Section for an engaging and insightful session with our vibrant audience. The highlight of the event was a screening of "Willie," a powerful documentary about Willie O'Ree, the first Black player in the NHL, whose journey broke racial barriers and paved the way for diversity in sports.

What an unforgettable day! The YALI Network Benue Physical Meet-Up was an incredible gathering of young changemakers, filled with insightful conversations, impactful sessions, and new connections.

Annual Library Week 2024

What an amazing week it has been! The highlight of the Nigerian Library Association, Benue State Chapter Annual Library Week was the thrilling Reading and Quiz Competition between Benue State University Technical College and Benue State University ICT Staff School.
Both teams showcased incredible knowledge, teamwork, and passion for learning, but in the end, BSU ICT Staff School emerged as the champions! 🏆
Congratulations to the winning team and kudos to all the participants for making this event so exciting and inspiring!

Empowering Young Minds Through Stories! 📚

The African Storybook Initiative, in collaboration with Window on America Makurdi, hosted an unforgettable program and it was a huge success!
Facilitated by the inspiring Dr. Joyce Terumbur Dankaro, the event focused on providing open access to picture storybooks in African languages—fostering literacy, creativity, and a love for reading among children.
The energy and excitement from the children were truly contagious as they explored the world of stories in their own languages. It was a heartwarming celebration of African culture, imagination, and education!
