‎*A Vital Plea: ARCN Executive Secretary Urges TETFund to Re-include Federal Colleges of Agriculture*

‎Today, July 10, 2025, Dr. Abubakar Dabban, the Executive Secretary of ARCN, paid a crucial courtesy visit to TETFund. He lauded TETFund's impact on tertiary institutions and made a *passionate appeal for the reinstatement of Federal Colleges of Agriculture as TETFund beneficiaries.*

‎Dr. Dabban highlighted that these colleges, offering ND/HND certificates, are at par with polytechnics and are vital for providing industrial attachment training for university students. He warned that their exclusion from TETFund has led to severe infrastructure deficits, brain drain among staff, and declining student enrollment, significantly harming Nigeria's agricultural human capital.

‎He stressed that reinstating these colleges is a *national imperative for sustainable agricultural advancement*, as they play a critical role in driving food security and agribusiness development. This move will restore infrastructure, boost competitiveness, and strengthen agricultural education as a key pathway for national development.
