KSSB PRESENTS STUDENTS’ DATA TO STATE CONSULTANT FOR VERIFICATION

In line with the avowed commitment of His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to Accountability and Transparency in Governance, the Management of Kogi State Scholarship Board has presented the data of 23,609 Undergraduate Students and 219 Law School Students who applied for the 2025 Bursary Awards and Law School Scholarship Support respectively to the Management of Fast Mita Nigeria for verification.

The Executive Chairman of the Board, Mr. Afolabi Joseph-Raji charged the Consultant to diligently and speedily conclude the verification of the data of applicants within the allotted timeline of 4-weeks to facilitate the timely payments of bursary allowances and scholarship support to deserving Kogi Students in line with the tradition of the Administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo towards promoting the welfare of Kogi Students.

This commitment is further displayed as the Kogi State Scholarship Board sent Bulk SMS and Emails to remind Kogi State Students who are yet to conclude their Bursary Applications to do so within the next 48hours in order to avoid missing out of the Annual Students Bursary payment.

The Kogi State Medical Students' Association (KOMSA) and National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS) have expressed profound gratitude to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his commitment to the improvement of welfare condition of Kogi Students in Tertiary Institutions.

The National President of KOMSA, Comrade Samuel Adeku, a 600 Level Medical Student of KADSU who spoke during a well-attended virtual interactive session between the Kogi State Scholarship Board and Kogi State Medical Students in Tertiary Institutions across Nigeria held on Sunday, 19th October, expressed appreciations to Governor Ododo for prioritizing the welfare of Kogi Students.

Comrade Adeku also commended the Honorable Commissioner of Health - Dr. Abdulazeez Adeiza Adams for his passionate dedication towards improving the health sector in Kogi State and for his support to KOMSA. He further appealed to the State Government to consider a higher amount of Bursary Allowance to Kogi Medical Students just like their counterparts from other States.

The National President of NAKOSS, Comrade Sunday Adeola also expressed profound appreciations to Governor Ododo for his good intentions and actions towards Kogi Students.

The Executive Chairman of Kogi State Scholarship Board - Mr. Afolabi Joseph-Raji assured the Kogi State Medical Students of Governor Ododo's continued support in their quest for success through student-friendly policies.

Dr. Abdulazeez Adeiza Adams, the Honorable Commissioner of Health further assured the Medical Students of the continued support of Governor Ododo towards the attainment of their lofty dreams. He also assured them that the various requests expressed by KOMSA during the interactive session will be accorded appropriate attention.
